Quotestones2000 Does anybody think it could be tommorow (the announcement)? In a previous post it was found the last three tour announcements Happened on a Wednesday and That is tomorrow. Eight days from now Is another Wednesday etc. If the announcement is with the band In person than they would notify the press and we would all know Ahead of time. So...maybe tomorrow but probably on a Wedn

The yellowish picture above is good. Looks like it was from his solo tours as he was usually wearing a coat on the last stones tour(50th). Nice with the two spotlights crisscross. Happy Birthday Mick. Wishing you many more!

This article seems accurate based on BV's posts unless of course they were simply using him as their source... Either way hope we hear something this week! From SongMango.com Look for an official Rolling Stones tour announcement coming up, mayb

Seems Arlo made out pretty well, since he would not have to split his 5K. I Don't remember if he had his band or just him.

Just a thought: Maybe they are planning a tour announcement similar to what Was done in 1975 with the moving flatbed trailer. The stones played Brown Sugar which would require little if any rehearsing. This could all be done rather quickly in NYC or LA and would fit with the Sticky Fingers theme. Seems the band Has always reflected highly of that event. Nowadays, some sort of permit would

QuoteMaindefender QuoteNaturalust QuoteMisterDDDD Quotewickerman I think the dates start to shape up pretty nicely. Considering the rumoured shows you can easily see the possible routing. As the tour will be 15 dates (15 ON FIRE?) we don't have many gaps left to fill (at least 8 cities already rumoured, if they play 2-3 nights in NYC that leaves us with around 5 shows TBC)... Looking at the

QuoteNaturalust Who fans have a history of being pretty brutal to opening acts, hard for me to imagine a better band for ridicule than Joan Jett. Thankfully for Joan Jett most of the Who fans are older and more mature but I don't expect her to be well received. peace I think she opened for the Who in the past. Maybe one of the farewell tours? 1982 maybe?

Quotejlowe Quoteduke richardson on a serious note... these two should jam sometime.. I always thought they were a pretty good rhythm section Why does Ringo have two fingers up at every photo shot? With Paul it used to be the thumbs up. Most irritating. Just Ringo's attempt to revel that Paul was replaced by a double. The two fingers Stand for the 2nd Paul - now we know!

I thought the Wick recording was just the basic song with Ronnie involved etc. recorded at a party. Then they went into the studio with the whole band and that is the version on the record.

I liked the video but I also enjoy Film Noir and Black and White films. The video Fits the feel of the song. Bob looks good in the film. I only watched it once but was surprised the film had very little to do with the song. At first watch it Apears to be simply a noir film and not really corrograhed to the music. Again I only watched it once.

Bottom line is the stones would never do a tune like Paul's latest. If that Is what sells these days then Paul's the guy who can pull It off. I did'nt read the entire thread but it seems an odd comparison and complaint. A solo Mick Jagger could get away with doing such a tune but this board would crucify Him for the tune and neglecting the stones.

Mick's first solo album I think did pretty well. The song "leather Jacket" Received Lots of AirPlay in the Chicago area. Unfortunately a long time ago though...My opinion is the worst thing for Mick would be to stay idle. There will Be other opportunities besides the stones but maybe only if he is working and staying in shape - health wise and musically. Example: maybe he could f

Yes. I have been under the impression that both Mick and Keith write completely Separate from each other now. Ant mutual changes are then worked out in the studio during the early recording process. Obviously they have not been recorded much new music lately so this has been going on for years. I assume at least Back to Bridges in 1997. Honestly the last time I remember Mick and Keith writing t

Yes it was his health which stopped him from touring with the stones. At one point I think they asked him to join the band. At least I think I remember reading that tidbit in his autobiography- but it has been awhile. He was on Beatles, stones, Lennon and Harrison albums to name a few.

I have seen Mick Taylor twice in a solo concert and have no complaints. Mick Or some promoter would probably do well to scheduel him in cities on adjacent Days that the stones are schedueled for this summer. I would think he could Play larger venues with this approach. For instance the stones play on the 12th and Taylor plays the same city on the 11th or 13th. If stones play more Than one da

Ron is amazing when he has the freedom. The cutting room shows showed ron at his Best on guitar, harmonica and vocals. He has fought his personal demons and won. I think in many ways he has been responsible for keeping the band together. Jagger is the "task master" and Ronnie is the "peace keeper".

QuoteDandelionPowderman From what I've learned, Keith wrote the song and Brian helped arranging it. I'll be happy to be proven wrong, though... This thread was the first I heard this about Ruby Tuesday. Has Keith confirmed This? Obviously Brian's musicianship was pinickle to the song's outcome. Just Doesn't seem typical of Keith or Mick to give a nod to Brian since th

Okay, in my opinion, Joe Walsh is the only surviving musician from Eagles. The rest are bitter and boring. They stroll out on the stage as if the band is there to accept a long overdue academy award.

I think KR has an enormous and fragile ego and he's quickly and easily threatened by certain other personalities. I think the closeness of DB and MJ whatever it was made him feel insecure with Mick. So he sneers at DB's music. I enjoy the site but I don't really understand why some conve
