I am very pleased by the performance. Remember the 81' Kansas City show? He did the same thing... i.e., increased the volume because he probably couldn't hear himself and Ronnie was unhappy about it. I liked the video/performance because we caught a glimpse of the old Stones, the MT era, working with the present arrangement of MR. During the song, all of the pieces (past and presen

Quoteroby Quotekish_stoned keith was brilliant and the guitars were louder and ronnie played his part the whole band were on fire. Ah ah ah... Do you listen to this HTW intro ??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=OT1J2OqcXoc It could have been worse. He has a lot of pressure to get it right and then corrected it in the end. Most likely pressure that he hasn'

Skeptical of this... unless we hear about a cancellation for the show in Spain. The problem is, he already cancelled this show and then re-booked it for the 15th. We're all hoping he cancels the same show twice, but that'd be a weird thing to do, right? Wrong, do it MT! Cancel the 15th and show up in Newark.

Thank you, everybody, for your contribution to this blog. Great reviews, great show. Still need MR with MT, but wow, I'm so happy for them. Keith sounds great. Looking forward to Newark.

We all know that Keith is dead and we're paying for his robotics.

QuoteNaturalust My best guess is that Wyman will probably come on for the encores only and MT will be brought up mid-show as a special guest to play Sway, Dead Flowers and Moonlight Mile, then brought back out for the 2nd encore/jam on the second of two shows. What I'd like to see is Wyman and MT replacing Darryl and Ronnie for the entire first set, then coming back for the encores. he he

QuoteMore Hot Rocks You won't notice Wyman on stage. Makes no difference. What will he play? Miss You? pee break time. Perfect song for Bill and/or Eric Clapton. Suck on the jugular.. HA! j/k, both shows are going to be awesome... London will be the most sentimental and probably have the best overall song(s) played simply b/c MT will be playing them. EVERY fan wants to see that. QuoteStonesTod i'd like to see MT walk onto the stage and first demand all the royalties money he's owed before he plays a note. i'd pay to see that little drama unfold. haha, yes! What if he gets hammered before the show and intentionally sabotages the concert?

Great idea to have MT open shows -- would be awesome. I don't know how much they'll use MT or BW, but I'd imagine they are saving MT for only 2 or maybe 3 select songs that he plays often and that he has been practicing with his own band. I think CYHMK is inevitable as well as Sway and then perhaps little red rooster or a surprise 4th song such as Winter and/or TWFNO. In those 2

Just heard it for the first time... noting special, but not bad. Reminded me of I go Wild. I like Doom and Gloom better, but a lot of people are saying OMS is too shirt and D&G is too long. I agree on both statements. Could be great live, looking forward to it.

That's terrible. I actually thought for sure he would be in Newark. I wonder if he picked that date to end the speculation? Jeff Beck it is.

Worst is First My Obsession - I think this is their worst song. Think Congratulations Low Down Take it or Leave it Sparks Will Fly - I could actually play the drums for this song. Too Tight

The best part of watching a PPV instead of going to the concert is when your power goes out at home... GIVE ME A BREAK Do you like watching X rated movies better than the real thing too?

That chart is awesome. I thought Tumbling Dice had a London version (which I like better b/c Mick taylor plays faster at the end)? Mick says, "Thank ya, thank you very much indeed" and then it goes into Heartbreaker where Mick says, "Thank you very kindly" on Nasty Music. I also thought the official boot was not as good as the unofficial, but that's b/c I like a lot

Whatever Mick Taylor plays will have a much wanted solo in it. They wouldn't bring him on to play Brown Sugar, would they?

QuoteStonesTod QuoteJustin I love that Oakland '99 recording. Solid playing and a great setlist. "Moonlight Mile" was, unfortunately, played very half-assedly. Even though Keith was never on the original, you'd think he'd rise to occasion here considering it's a very Keith sounding riff. But he doesn't. I believe Ronnie and Mick take care of the guitar wo

Quote71Tele QuoteBustedButton Sorry, one more post on this thread regarding DMB. If you think DMB stinks, you are most likely putting yourself in the same category as all die hard Zeppelin fans who think the Stones stink. All they hear, by the Stones, is Start Me Up 1,000,000 times on the radio and TV. What I'm trying to say is, if you don't like DMB you most likely wouldn't go

5 licks out of 10... it's is definitely mediocre considering the "spooky" guitar part in the middle only has about 10 notes in it. But, for some reason I'm still liking and listening to it. I like Plundered M.S. better. I'm going to play D&G two times in a row and very loud at a tailgate on Saturday. I'll give feedback on the reactions.

Never saw that JT video before, that was awful, but not worse that Christina @ the Beacon. I actually want special guests... if, and only if, their involvement in the show would help Mick catch his breath (for example), or give the band a break while entertaining us during this celebration of 50 years of music. REMEMBER IT'S A CELEBRATION (A PARTY, IF YOU WILL) NOT A TOUR! With that bei

Let's hope the ticket prices are confirmation that BOTH of them will be there. Although, I think Sir Jagger's comment on YouTube's promo video about maybe "friends will join us" doesn't necessarily mean it'll be Mick and Bill. What about...(in no particular order): Arcade Fire Foo Fighters Buddy Guy Jeff Beck Clapton Paige (Heart of Stone -- Do it!) Any

For what it's worth, the locals say it's an excellent venue for concerts. I'm sure the sound quality will be fine and you shouldn't worry. However, the visual on Mick Taylor might be less than satisfactory, but the extra weight will help out with that... (one can only hope). Is it rude for me to ask how much you got them for? Can we share that info on here? I paid an ar

Hi, I've been using the site since 2005 for news, and this is my first post. I've read every post on this thread, so naturally, I have a lot to say... The Stones aren't playing on SNL. I know, it's a bitch. I heard them call Mick jagger's name and I salivated like a pavlov dog. At this point, I'm over it and looking forward to Stones getting together for the t
