Don't see how this is a thread as opposed to "Please drop Satisfaction from the set list." How many times has Satisfaction been played, and how different has it been since, what, 1981? I actually like She's so Cold, b/c I like the way Jagger sings it. Never liked it live though, although, not too bad in Durham, NC 2005. But still, never as good as the studio version, i

I also have a friend who is in love with LZ, and when all you know from the Stones is "Start Me Up" and "Satisfaction," you definitely like LZ better. So, I put together 3 CD's for my friend with a lot of deep cuts (e.g. No Expectations) and live tracks (e.g. the newly released bootlegs), mostly from the Mick Taylor era *but certainly not all from the Mick Taylor era*, a

Ronnie was awesome in Newark. MT will only add, not take. I'm a little worried about the Staples Center show, but hopefully MT gets some time in with the band beforehand. Who the hell are the guests going to be when you have MT on board for a more extensive role? Keith was good too in Newark, his solo in London on I'm going down, was better... in fact it was awesome in London (w

Everyone steals stuff. These bands didn't invent the guitar... Zeppelin probably stole more material than anyone... check out this link, and feel free to search for more stolen material from zeppelin (more geared toward the lyrics) Mick got some lyrics for sympathy for the devil from a book, but the book didn't write the song. The same can be said for Zep: meaning, perhaps they s

Joh Paul, 100% permitted. There are a lot of Zeppelin fans who are in it for Bonham's drumming and Jimmy's guitar playing... which is TOTALLY different than Charlie's drumming and Keith's/ Mick/ or Ronnie's Guitar. I'm also a huge Zep fan, they are my second favorite band. I know a few zep fans who dislike the Rolling Stones b/c of said differences in playing sty

I'm cool with Mick Taylor alone... how could anyone not be???? BUT, you can't tell me that John Mayer's version of Respectable was not on of the best versions ever done... I am 100% not opposed to guitarists as guests. I do not like singers as guests, unless they are female, and TALENTED. Guests are fun, and sometimes they help the song... With all of that being said, Mick

Enjoy them.. Zeppelin fans (IN FACT, ANY OTHER FANS) have NO idea what they are missing... The band will pull it out one last time, as this could really be it due to age. They will kick ass again. I thank the Stones for coming out with the $85 tickets. As for new music, take the Stones for who they are and what they've accomplished. Perfect opportunity for that.. 50 years! You Tube is g

I don't want to start a new thread on this, but I will if no one answers it soon (within a week or so)... BUT I've heard rumors that Phish will be in Philly. Are these just stupid rumors? Or is there any truth to this?

Do not play Satisfaction or Start Me Up. The riffs in those songs are overplayed and repetitive. Fill in the GAPS with a song with Mick Taylor from the Mick Taylor era. That's all I'm saying. Like Jagger said during Newark, Midnight Rambler: "sometimes you got to shake it up"

If you they are going to have multiple guests, I liked most (not all), of the guests from the 5 mini-tour. Bring some of them back (mostly the guitarists, not the singers... If i could have any one guest, of course it'd be Jimmy Page. I've heard rumors that Phish might play with them in Philly.. I think that'd be awesome.

keith Richards sais in a video, posted somewhere on this site, (I believe it was Jimmy Fallon) that they have multiple guitar parts in each song and that it will be interesting to see how it works out with three guitars on stage, So, yes, Mick Taylor will be touring with them and he will be used in more than one song. The question is, AGAIN haha, which song(s)? CERTAINLY, he will be doing Mi

It is easy, but the Philly show was NOT easy. I got 2 $85 tix to the TBA announced Staples Center show around 10:14AM Pacific time. I tried to get 2 $85 for Philly around 10:06AM EST, but the website was too slow and it ruined any chances of me getting $85 tickets to any other shows. Unreal. But, good luck and glad to see stones fans getting the $85. I'd keep trying philly, to my kn

I've been reading the thread and it looks like most people chose "best available" to get the $85 tickets; however, no one has mentioned what they did with the second drop down menu. Quick question: What did you choose on the pricing option? Currently, there are three drop down menus: 1. Quantity: Options are 0 or 2 2. Price: Options are "Any Price" or "$

"Zoso" is the best Led Zeppelin Tribute Band in the US, and I've never seen anyone mimic ANY legendary band as well as they do. Here's a video, but check out others on youtube.

I was in Durham, NC in 2005 (Wallace Wade), Austin, TX in 2006 (Zilker Park), and Newark 2012 (Pru 12/15/12 PPV). They were all very good shows. Here's what I remember from the shows: The Durham show was great, very basic, very fun, and there were hardly any flaws. I enjoyed hearing the usual warhorses, but Lisa Fischer was great on Night Time is the Right Time. The setlist wasn'

Considering we're having this debate 31 years later... NEWARK! Mick doesn't sound very good in Hampton, and that could be why they released Leeds 82' (b/c Mick sounds better).

After 50 years, the stones are still playing; and at their age, that's amazing enough for me. Who cares what they play. Warhorses require energy. Maybe when their energy runs out, they'll play sweet slow songs in small club venues. They are the greatest... Keith's AND RONNIE'S comebacks for this tour are amazing. It's not that they can't do it, but Warhorses are
