My good friends in Australia want to know where to meet for some drinks before the show in Melbourne Wednesday evening.Any good suggestions? I live in California, and unfortunately can't make it to these great shows in Australia.

My all time favorite of him is You Can't Always get What You Want live in 1975.Watch the video of him in LA that year. I saw them live in 1975 twice, and those were the best 2 concerts of my life! He is one of the most underrated guitarist ever, and I think he is one of the top 25 guitarists!

I remember that interview with Ed Bradley,Mick said that he did drugs for about 25 years. Assuming that he started around 1965 or 1966,that would bring him to about 1990 or 1991.Maybe he stopped around the Steel Wheels tour. I saw 4 concerts on that tour, and they were pretty good.

I loved quadraphonic music! My nerdy stepfather had a Fisher Quadraphonic system, and it was incredible. It was one of the few things he did right. It was around 1973,and I was in 10th grade.Every speaker had a different instrument playing, and it was best to sit in the middle of our family room to get the full effect.I think that is why it never made it big, because it wasn't too versatile. If yo

Why don't the Rolling Stones pick about 5 cities out of their 14,that they could play all rare songs? They could announce the cities before the tickets go on sale. True fans like me and many others would definitely travel there to see these iconic shows. Then Mick would not have to worry about the first time fans wanting to see the warhorses.Eveyone would be happy(hopefully)!

The album It's Only Rock 'N Roll was released 40 years ago. I was in high school, and bought it brand new.I think I bought it through The Record Club Of America, where you could get 5 records for $5 with no other commitments. At the time I thought it was much better than the previous Goats Head Soup. Now I like them both about the same. My favorite song off that album back then was If You

From what I read, the Grateful Dead were scheduled to play before the Rolling Stones. When they decided not to play, there was a long gap before the Rolling Stones came on stage. This added to the tension already there from the Hells Angeles.Which in turn added more fuel to the fire.Even though this concert had major problems,I would love to see a video of the entire show.

By far,the best song on Bigger Bang. Also, after the album was released they interviewed Mick Jagger. They asked him if any of the songs had personal meanings, and he said this song did.Seeing him sing this song in concert reminded me of when he sang Some Girls in 1999.Sheer rock with a lot of emotion.
