To me it's completely redundant. It's a great dust collector! Perhaps with one exception: "Rough Justice" - a standard rocker that works pretty well live. He played steady rock n' roll bass and added a certain toch of flair to it too. He confirmed the Stones as a rock n' roll band. Nowadays they have a bass player who plays funk, which isn't really what the Stones are about.

It's a half-baked measure. It's not an acoustic album and not a real live-album (half of the songs are studio-versions). Their version of the Dylan-classic "Like a rolling stone" is stale.

I think "Stripped" was stripped of every emotion. I do remember it recieved quite good reviews at the time, but it meant nothing to me. Sterile, lifeless as it was I would have prefered an ordinary live-album. The sad thing is that when they try to do something different, play rarely played songs and so on, it doesn't work out very well.

I might be the only one but I think "She's the boss" by comparison is the best Jagger album (I never said it was good though), from then on they only got worse. It certainly made the most impact on the contemporary scene compared to the latter ones. I think it went better on the charts too. "Goddess" I listened to once, maybe twice, and never again.

In 1985 I was eager to watch anything that was Stones-related. There was much expectation in the air for a new Stones-tour (which, sadly, never happened).
