Of course, this was a shot from the hip. What I meant was, that in this technologial day and age, you maybe don't need to tour 300 cities to reach your audience. You can tour less cities and still reach a huge audience (on TV, internet or whatever). That doesnt't, necessary, mean that the end consumer has to pay higher prices. But you can sell the rights (all inclusive) to a high price

What a beautiful intro to "How The West Was Won" or "The Macahans" (the Swedish title for the series). It's funny how the intros sets your memory and emotions free. Often you tend to forget much of the content in the programmes, but the intros kind of always stays with you. Like it was tattooed on your brain!

I mean limit the goods and sell to a higher price. Do five gigs in Vegas, five gigs in central USA and five in New York. Sell it as a package with tv-rights and so on included. To a high price, but not necessary for the consumer. Skip the big scenary, do arenas. Do the same in Europe next year: five gigs in London, five in Paris and five in Stockholm (or Hamburg, Milano, Amsterdam). You'l

I'll pass on the CD, but I guess the completist "must" by this too. Look at this from the bright side: If you wanna buy some Rolling Stones garments it's much cheaper on Dressman than on the RS official sites - and there is no shipping costs or extra taxes. Personally, I'll wait for the usual Dressman sales (50 % off)!

No, I haven't. But I saw an interview with him a couple of weeks ago. He surprised me by beeing very eloquent, low key and honest. If he just could skip that hat and the other rock attributes he's wearing. It's unnecessary.

Looking at all those muscles: Is it true that NFL doesn't allow doping tests? I can't imagine all these players are clean.

Slash is becoming more of a cartoon figure than Michael Jackson was: Jacko with the glove, Slash with the hat.

Abba was offered one billion dollar (1 000 000 000 $) for a comeback tour in the US ten years ago - but turned it down. Abba should have done more touring in the US (in order to sell more albums), but Agneta didn't like touring. Abba never really made it the US, their main markets were GB, Europe and Australia.

Must agree. It reminded me of a MC Hammer show some 20 years ago. At least Fergie could have changed her dress a couple of times!

So if the team is owned by the city (commune) Green bay: The Packers is the only communist team in the US? What balls! I will cheer for them (looks like they are winning anyway, 21-9). By the way, they are showing the game on large TV-screens, for a paying audience in the Globe, Stockholm, Sweden (capacity 14 500). So there is some interest in the sport afterall here in Sweden. Saw the Stones

Thanks, E G! Surprisingly enough, one of my twenty channels actually is showing the game. 0-0, you could believe it was a soccer game! Have no favourites though, mostly looking forward to the half-time entertainment. Even if it isn't the Stones this time!

Please, cool down gentlemen! Agree to disagree and call it quits. By the way, please accept my apologies for my first post in this thread. Americans do understand punk. You got the Ramones! I forgot about them. 1-2-3, let's go!

"Winging it" is another expression used by Keith, about Chuck Berry, in the "Hail, Hail Rock & Roll" movie. About the same thing as noodling, I think.

Of course, Punk turned into a degenarate pop subculture; into a lifestyle and a dresscode more than a political statement. The punk-kids with orange hair and safety pins stuck in their cheeks were mere fools, as Johnny Rotten, probably, would have told you.
