Must say that I liked the "Lucky in love"-video from "She's the boss" though! It was very "tounge-in-cheek". Due to credentials (or whatever) I'm not allowed to watch it on Youtube in my country, so I can't post it.

Speaking from a pure philosophical point of view: of course, there was none! The question itself is invalid.

In 1985 I was eager to watch anything that was Stones-related. There was much expectation in the air for a new Stones-tour (which, sadly, never happened). Talking about bad performances: my vote goes for the Richards-Woods-Dylan fiasco at the same show, Live Aid, where this video was aired for the first time!

Don't be so negative! 18 minutes is the perfect format for a group like that. Fergie still has enogh sex-appeal to catch my interest for 18 minutes. It will be exciting to see what revealing outfit she's gonna wear! I guess she's gonna be censored in some way (USA has become very prudish!).

-8 degrees Celsius (as in Anders Celsius) here in Västerbotten, Sweden. What happened with that global warming scenario?

The argument that started the thread was, as pointed out earlier, a non valid argument. So this discussion is not about who´s wrong or not, it's about whether it's legitimate, or rather appropriate, to criticize Keith (or the band) on this board. I can understand this dilemma from BV's point of view: IORR is basically a Rolling Stones fan forum, it's an offspring from a Stones

QuoteNorthernale1 I hate when people go to concerts and expect perfection and want it to sound like the album,,, raw sound with mistakes,, missed cues, ect ,, I don't really mind that, on the contrary: that's the charm with it! What I don't like is the non-playing, excessive grimasing, "noodling" and arrogant sloppiness. That is because the end product damages from i

Well said, Justin. As a none-musician, watching DVD:s of concerts I sometimes can't help thinking: can he really play at all? I think the real problem is that there is probably no one in his inner circle who has the guts to critize him. I do not critize his his heart or his loyalty to the band, but the fact that his core contribution to the band (playing the guitar) is weakening and has been

Very good question, "Send it to me"! Wasn't it Charlie who said that he wanted a real hit, and that "Start me up" was the last one? I know that the mediasituation has changed drastically in Western Europe as well as in North America. But I think there are things like radio hits. And I think that they (radio hits) still has a purpose to fulfil; namely create an interest ar

Gazza: So you mean that Queen Silvia of Sweden or Queen Sonja of Norway aren't queens but Queen Concsorts? That is simply not true. The first part of Sicilian's post is right. Queen Margrethe II of Denmark's spouse is Prince Consort of Denmark (the same arrangement as in Great Britain).

Didn't get the confirmation either. Perhaps it will arrive in a couple of days? The odds on actually winning is probably 1-10 000 000 000 000 000 000 000!

We say (in Sweden) penibel, it means awkward or embarrassing in the word of english. Is it true it has a french origin? By the way, this was my hundred post: What's the incentive for going for 500?

Oddly enough, I always liked The Prince of Wales, the "tampon incident" put me off for a while, but he seems well-spoken and has some class. That old lady (the Queen) is to aloof, for my taste at least. Perhaps not for her English subjects? The kids are, of course, spoiled little brats, "like kids are now...".

These upper-class discussions are refreshing to me. I remember a french mutualist philosopher and politician who said: Property is theft! But now we are getting too political, aren't we? His name was Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, by the way.

Atlantic City 1989. It is often the ppv-videos that are the best. My favourite concert videos from 1980-2010 are: 1) Hampton, 1981. 2) Atlantic City, 1989. 3) MSG, 2002 (second disc on "Four Flicks"). If you have those, you don,t really need anymore. It's a shame though, that "Hampton" only exists as a boot.

Congratulations to IORR editor and fellow Scandinavian, Björnulf! Can't remember when when I first scrolled into this page. I remember reading small essays on The Rolling Stones by a guy called "O´tonneau" or something. From then on I put this page in my favourite list. Never subscribed to the IORR magazine though (i had a fanzine called "Beggar's Banquet", which was

From what I hear, Elton is number 23 in line to become Queen. Dame Edna is number 16 and someone called Brenda is number 56 in line. So who knows it might be Elton!

Well, there is a more sober way to look at this too. What can we really expect? They are all pensioners (except Ronnie); they haven't played together for approx three years; Keith has undergone a brainsurgery, Charlie a throatcancer operation, Ronnie is a cronic alkoholist, Mick's voice is getting more and more nasal and so on, so on... . Perhaps mediocre version of the warhorses, click

That clip is from the Swedish TV-show "Måndagsbörsen". Probably from 1983. The inteviewer and host of the show is the very excellent Jonas Hallberg. Used to love that show. It had great live-bands (it was aired live), good interviews and all in all good entertainment every monday (måndag). I miss this kind of TV-entertainment, it's rarely seen these days. Instead you get all kind o

It seems that UK still has a grip on the old colonies (even USA). There is very much interest in the british royal house, none at all in continetal europes (or Scandinavia) royal houses. I remember when our viking kings used to rule Britannia! Do you remember King Magnus or Knut The Great, or even the battle of Stamford Bridge?

Wouldn't mind the warhorses at all if they: a) distributed them better in the show (not all in the last 1/3) b) played fewer of them c) played them differently than before (try to ignite some spark in them!) d) kept them short (maximum 5 minutes a song).
