Brian Jones, Mick Taylor and Ron Wood... they are all different kinds people and players. I think that Keith is most satisfied with Ronnie. You can see that on stage and old images. They're connected to each other and are a dynamic duo on stage. I have to say, not my favorite couple, because it's too 'empty' and it's too much of a sketch on stage. Mick Taylor was a gr

hmmm... I've tried to pin that one yeah. But I'm not sure I can see Aftermath as a masterpiece. The album is good, but it can't hold my attention for too long.

Quotebuffalo7478 I saw him twice on the Reality tour. In an arena in Toronto and a 3,200 seat theatre in Buffalo. The Reality record was great (and I will get booed for this, but better than anything from the Stones in a long time - taken as a complete record). Live, he and his band smoked....played hits, rare tracks and were unafraid to play recent material and several songs off Reality. I wis

I loved the man. Still do. Put on Young Americans or Station to Station and I will throw out a slick move and a big smile upon my face...

My childhood memories (10 years old) started good with Rewind and More Hot Rocks. The big disappointment began with Dirty Work. Sound was too thin and the guitars were too noisy.

QuoteHis Majesty QuoteDiamondDog7 Long time ago I've found a site only about Their Satanic Majesties Request. It was about the album cover and the tracks on the album. I've lost the site. Does anyone know which site it is and the URL? I assume you mean the site with stuff about the double box sets? You'll find links to those in my lil Satanic Sessions HQ thread... Th

QuoteHonestman QuoteDiamondDog7 Hmmm... leave Gomper alone. It's a real "Brian Jones - track". His ultimate recording moment. There was a scene of "Ladies and Gentleman... " on YouTube. You can see the band backstage, preparing for their gig during the 1972 tour. Mick is focussing, jumping, talking. Suddenly their is a knife (from Keith?) and you can see Mick snorting, but the camera quickly turns away...

When I was about 10 years old I always wanted to play Angie. I wanted to know the chords and progression. I was so devoted to learn, that I could the song when I was about 11 years old. That was only the beginning. Thanks to The Stones I've learned to play the guitar.

Ronnie did meet Brian shortly, but Brian was in 'another world' during this meeting. Mick Taylor have never met Brian.

Love to hear those Beggars Banquet sessions and recordings. I want to know how Brian's style was in those days. Because he was in a bad condition and he didn't play the guitar that much...

I love those pics of Mick! hahaha Way too cool. I have the original CD release and yes, the concert sounds great. So much positive feeling there. I think this performance was a relief to Mick Taylor. Something different than playing Brown Sugar all over again.
