Quoterollmops Quotebillwebster QuoteRocky Dijon Mick brought Earl in to play guitar on "Dancing in the Street" around the same time that Earl was teamed with The Stray Cats rhythm section as Phantom, Rocker, and Slick. Keith played on their single, "My Mistake." All of this in the middle of the DIRTY WORK sessions. Yes, Phantom Rocker & Slick got together again a few yea

Quoterollingon Original Decca Mono LP alone in Ebay (or other places) about 500 euros in excellent condition.... Anyone heard both of these records? Just a few month after the release of LIB in 1970 DECCA stoppt pressing mono-versions of stereo releases in general. The mono LIB is quite rare cause it was only a few month on sale. Just to explain high prizes as a collector`s item in excelle

Great tour, saw some concerts, mostly frontrow. But to be honest I never really liked the stage design.. Berlin Waldbühne on this tour was fantastic. Just the small stage, no show , just rock`n roll. Perfect!! Tom

Agree with you, 1963lucaO. Denson is a great choice. Deep in the Stones`history, knows Bobbie`s style but adding something of his modern funk style. Fantastic player. But: Tim Ries is playing on Miss You! The other great player, but totally different style Tom

Quotedrbryant QuoteRik Quoteangee On getting in, did anyone have the early entry package(s), and if so, what time did they open that gate? What time did they first let most people in? Yes, curious about that too! Yes, I am curious as well. Anyone? I suspect it's hard to get questions noticed because they get lost in all of negative posts by people who didn't like the youtube v

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotelaertisflash "...Especially to a German audience that is notoriously the most "blues oriented" audience in Europe" Interesting, I never heard it in the past, Maumau. Any explanation, cultural, historical, etc? I thought British audiences were more "blues friendly", thanks to bands like Stones, Cream and many others. I think the fact

Quotestraycatuk I don't know which show off top of my head, but Mick DID get stuck in the lift or at best it didn't work at one show with Keith taking a 20 minute solo ! Can anyone elaborate ? I think it was Urban Jungle stage. sc uk Don`t know if you referring to what happened in Hannover/Germany (24.5.1990) on the Urban Jungle Tour: A rainy concert, fantastic gig, starting S

Never saw the Dave Hassinger connection with Aftermath. Some people told me to get the MONO vinyl of Surrealistic Pillow. It should have more punsch then the stereo version. Now I understand if it`s a similar production like Aftermath on which I do prefer the MONO version. Tom

Well I hold my breath this morning seeing my nickname in a topic I had always mixed feelings with this album und Muddy`s input. Electric Mud was released as CD as part of the highly recommended Chess Legendary Master Series (1997). This version has an very informative booklet: Electric Mud was the second release on Marshall Chess` Cadet Concept. The idea was to sell the Blues to the young

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotestonesstein QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotestonesstein QuoteDandelionPowderman Is Garden State on par sound-wise with Handsome Girls? If so, it's lightyears better than the Swinging Pig Out On Bail-release.. I better get that Garden State-vinyl anyway. I think that Garden State 78 on Smilin Dork vinyl is the vinyl equivalent of the HG Box. If you prefer vin

Quotetoomuchforme I hope a better sound than the poor one on original CD's. Even a japanese cd I have does not sound very good Well the original vinyls are excellent pressings and sound fantastic. Not too hard to find and not pricier than a new cd. "Original" eighties cd`s? Please... Tom

QuoteHendrik Amazing full rich and punchy mono sound but don't throw away your original albums because the look, feel and smell of the mono edition doesn't come even close the original. There's simply nothing like putting your original open Decca or London record on the turntable.. Just compare the labels..Abkco on the label is simply not right, its all too clean and too new.. De

Great , TooTough. I always loved this promo cause of its full cover work. I never understood why the Stones didn't release 12" Singles with Emotional Rescue and Tattoo You (except promos) after they started it with Miss You. Next then was Still Life with Going To A Gogo if I remember right ... Tom

Hannover ,Germany , 1990, Sympathy for the devil : Jagger on top of the Urban Jungle stage wanted to start to sing and the microphone didn't work! He had to take the Lift back to the ground, man he was pissed! You can hear that's the Version with the long jamming intro Tom

I wonder if the mono Mixes from Aftermath onwards (esp Aftermath,Buttons,Satanic) are the original mono Mixes or just fold-downs . If it's the original Mixes it could be worth the money for some people cause the originals are very pricy. If it's fold-downs I don't go with this release. Tom

QuoteHenrikBB QuoteDandelionPowderman The «stereo» edition must be electronic reprocessed stereo, surely? I´m not sure if it ever was released in Stereo . . . . . ? - even though the 1970 rerelease is labeled "Stereo" ! No 1 & No 2 were both rereleased marked "stereo" on German Decca, - both in glorious Mono ! - and I think the same goes for this album

The stage is small, there is not much room like o
