Gimme Some Neck needs to be remastered if possible. If not then rerecord it!!thumbs up

Won't do, imo, it needs to be remixed - track by track, remove effects etc. Put it together again first. It sounds like a joke. I love the songs, though.

Damn shame that album rocks.....

Even a japanese cd I have does not sound very good

I nagged Ronnie on Facebook / Twitter over this; I think the trouble with Neck, though, is the Roy Thomas Baker production.

...Ronnie is a killer songwriter, too bad he almost never got to write anything for the Stones...

he has his share of contributions ... off the top of my head, Hey Negrita, Everything Is Turning To Gold, Dance, Pretty Beat Up.

I think he also has a couple on Dirty Work so he loses some credibility there.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The Rolling Stones lost credibility with that horrendous excuse of an album!

Black Limousine
It's Only Rock'N'Roll (unofficially)
Hey Negrita (unofficially)
Everything Is Turning To Gold
Dance
If I Was A Dancer
No Use In Crying
Pretty Beat Up

(Had It With You
One Hit
Fight
Dirty Work
)

That's it.

I hope they don't do the same with She's The Boss confused smiley

what would be worse, a She's The Boss 'expanded edition', or a twofer with Primitive Cool?

Ugly question and hard to answer, no?

The second. Actually I hate the first album, but I think Primitive Cool is pretty good.

you need to go on a steady diet of "Let's Work"...for a couple of hours anyway, nonstop. we can do a pulse check with you after that.

Just imagine it... A disc filled with dance remixes... No distinguishable difference other than runtimes.

The other co-writing credits are:

One Hit (to the Body)
Fight
Dirty Work
Had It with You

and after 25 years...

Well Let's Work is okay for that time, but the worst track on PC. Jagger did NOT play the lead single on tour, probably he's not too Proud of the song. PC ist not a great album, but a good late 80s pop album.

Well the original vinyls are excellent pressings and sound fantastic. Not too hard to find and not pricier than a new cd. "Original" eighties cd`s? Please...

There's one where he has little kids coming to dance with him. It's all good for a pop star, but Mick Jagger? confused smiley

Wow - as far as I know no outtakes have ever been released from either of the sessions for these great albums.

The single version of Breathe On Me - b-side to I Can Feel The Fire - is slightly different. Hope they include that.

I'm sure there must be tons of stuff in the can from both sessions. Really looking forward to these releases.

There's also a longer "edit" of Take A Look At The Guy.

Looks like this is only a 2 CD release of the original albums, Mike..

Where does that exist? Do you know the track times? Not sure if I have that one.

..........
And to add, there is are different versions of 2 songs, but I doubt they would be on Ronnie's deluxe editions, as they are by other artists.

Ronnie plays on Ian McLagan's Troublemaker album
Mystifies Me (and I believe Ronnie sings it too)

Ronnie plays on Izzy Stradlin's version of
Take A Look At the Guy, and sings it too.

Thanks, but do you have this, and if so, did you ever hear a difference? I checked your link and it shows a Various Artist release, which states:

"Note: The edit of Take A Look At the Guy is longer than the album version!"

However this is a link to a screenshot of the album which shows the time: 2:34, same as Ronnie's official version. Is it possible that note is incorrect, and that it's the same verson?

Did not follow the link until now. I don’t have that take. Probably they wanted to use the normal version but used a faded out later take by mistake. You can ask Nico.

Interesting nonetheless. I wish we knew for sure, if a different version, I'd probably try and track it down! But the fact that the time shows the same, I think it is probably the same version.
