Quotecrumbling_mice Thought we werent posting on non stones related stuff, or have i misread BV's sticky thread? This post was originated in April of 2009. I don't think responding to an old post is what BV was concerned with now. Just sayin'...

No help on the book but it looks as if you'll have to buy the entire 2 disc Exile to get the alt.take of All Down The Line from iTunes. It's listed as "album only" at the moment. The sample sounds cool.

Right on skip! I love the lead guitar tone for Mainstreet. It's one of the '70s warhorses that I always listen to when it comes on the radio.

Quotetatters I have never "got" social deestortion. Besides, this is a STONES site! Isn't there a social deestortion site all you Stones haters can post on? Respectfully, I don't get the attitude. Oh yeah, The Stones are the only band to be discussed here. It is labeled OT. What post here can you attest to being "Stones haters"? You never "got" SD, that&#

Yes, but the good vintage stuff. Not the newer crap like Celine & Mariah. Vince Guaraldi rules! Merry Christmas all.

QuoteWhale Dio is not the kind of artist you'd admit at parties listening to... Why not? Never be ashamed of what you like.

That Alex Harvey gig at the Cleveland Agora was one of his favorites. It can be found on disc 2 of the SAHB U.S.Tour 1974 release. It rools!

I love the 60's garage type rock n'roll no matter who it is or where it's from, but the idea of an American Rolling Stones never made sense to me. Nice posts, all.

Thanks for the pix & YouTube links. Real kickin' for a bunch of geezers who haven't played in forever. Too bad about Buffin, but Chambers gives the energy needed to make this cook. Cool that he joined in on the encores. I wish they'd have done this years ago. Rock on, Mott!

Did Skynyrd not have that same "blew 'em off the stage" moment with The Who in '73? Whether you like Lynyrd Skynyrd or not, that can happen. PS: Muppet, bad guitar wankery? I think not. It's the quintessential blazing guitar jam.

I was lucky to see them in Cleveland with the unlikely bill of Blue Oyster Cult/Be Bop Deluxe/The Jam in '78. They were a great band. So was BBD.

Brilliant post. This is my favorite live version as well, mistakes and all. Very straight-forward and chilling. Of course the studio version is perfect. Thanks to akgameboy for posting the track

Impressions of the Ceremony: All the acts performed, except Run DMC and the Sidemen who were honored, and all were very good. Ronnie looked good and seemed a bit uncomfortable speaking about Bobby Womack, and he performed well. Only a quick shot of him with The Girlfriend. Wanda Jackson was great at 70-something. She's quite a lady and can rock! I thought Beck was good, Page brought him

The show is being broadcast live tonight on the FUSE network. There is an hour long pre-show at 8 and the ceremony at 9. Lots of Metallica stuff on during the day if you care. Should be a good jam at the end.
