Saw them open for Neil Young back in the early nineties.

Thought they were very good, but haven't kept up with them since.

Me. Got into them big time in the last year or so after a video clip of Mike Ness playing with Springsteen impressed me and made me curious enough to find out more. Ness' solo albums are superb as well. Can't believe I went this long without 'discovering' them.

Theyve finally got around to recording their new album, and it should be out May-June.

Yeah Gazza. Me and BluzDude were at the Springsteen show in LA when Mike Ness made a guest appearance. BD then told me about some of SD's older stuff. Good band indeed.

I like them in smallish doses. When it came out, "Ball and Chain" was one of my favorite cuts by any one... just because it stood out by its classicism at the time. Now I find that track somewhat too long.

But "Bad Luck" is still a fave.

Their early stuff is listenable too. Ness kind of overdoes the Lydon imitation, but so did a lot of punk frontmen.

yeah cc - Ball and Chain was the one that got me into them too. I listened to Between Heaven and Hell and Social Distortion lps all the time while I was pregnant with my son (about 10 years ago). Got to see them once about 5 years ago, great show.

I love their take on Ring of Fire.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Respectfully, I don't get the attitude. Oh yeah, The Stones are the only band to be discussed here. It is labeled OT. What post here can you attest to being "Stones haters"? You never "got" SD, that's fine. Some Stones fans like 'em including myself. By the way, they did a kickin' version of Under My Thumb.

Click on any Beatles-related thread, and read mickscarey's comments. That should explain everything.

I know a twat in Britain is a jerk - but does it also mean a woman's private parts the way it does here in the states?
