there are those who understand the internet and try to work with it - and then there are those who fight it. ok, there are probably also shades in between, but tom waits definitely made a good decision

Tom Waits doesn't tour that often. I had the lucky opportunity to see him live in 2006 and boy oh boy, he was amazing!

My budget for concerts has been slashed but I would definitely fork over big bucks to see Tom Waits again.
Has anyone heard anything about Tour dates?

FANTASTIC NEWS! I am huge fan, and I was so bummed out that I missed his shows for the Glitter and Doom tour. I was laid up in a hospital post knee surgery, and My LAME ASS brother said he didn't have money to go on line and get tickets and they sold out in ten minutes!!!!!!!
A live album will be great! He hasn't had a live disc since Big Time, and the sound quality of that disc is not too great.
Great set lists from G&D tour as well...

Agree Tom Waits is a genius. If you can get into his music you will be hooked for life. 1st album I bought was swordfishtrombone and thought it was just embarassing to begin with then I slowly got sucked into the weird and wonderful world of MR Waits.

oh swordfishtrombone is brilliant! I love all of it! I have a boot from the European leg of his Get Behind the Mule tour and he does a spine chilling version of Shore Leave, and proves once and for all he has an incredible voice!!! He can go from his gravel boubon soaked voice to impecable falsetto. Brilliant!

Some of my friends say that when I attempted to sing I sound a bit like Tom Waits. I don't think they mean that as a compliment.
