Sadly didn't make it to the Stones. Black Sabbath, Deftones and Sigur Ros all impressed me though.

I often listen to Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (the song, not the entire album) on the last day of summer holidays before going to bed. I listen to Hank Williams a lot when on Manitoulin Island vacationing in the summer, it just seems to fit the scenery.

I didn't see this posted here yet. Fascinating to see what was played at the first shows. I must be honest I know most of these tunes, but have discovered a few new ones this morning. Alright, start the setlist jokes.

Hi Guys, Sorry for the OT comment but wanted to share this cover I did. Not a Stones cover, but has that same dark 60s vibe. I've always loved Little Red Book. Finally through together a recording on all of the instruments on my old analog 4-track. Would love to hear any feedback if you'd like to offer it.

Forgive the teacher in me, but when people say it is a better tour what criteria are they basing that on? That is a very large blanket statement that doesn't focus on particulars. One can say this is a better tour playing-wise, but some one else can argue that setlist-wise it is less desirable... know what I mean?

Truly my favourite vocalist of all time. I have loved the guy's voice for years. He could whisper, scream, holler, croon, growl, and belt all in the same tune. I had the experience of a life time by finally seeing him last summer. Around the 3:20 mark he starts talking to a "white boy" that was me. Surreal surreal moment.

Have any of the shows been a sell out yet on this tour? Toronto still has 266,466 and 624$ tickets available for tomorrow night. Can't quite tell just how many. Is this show close to selling out or do you predict we will see some half priced tickets tomorrow at the box office?

Glad to see Steve Albini on the list. To my ears his recordings are the best. There are bands he produced where I don't like the album or the music, but listen just for the sound he captures.

I admit I have left during the last song of a show once or twice simply because I wanted to beat traffic as it is a 3 hour drive back from Toronto for me (and I did beat the crowds both times). I must laugh. In 2005 my Aunt went and saw the Stones and when they started playing Miss You and the stage started moving out into the crowd she thought to herself... surely this is the end of the show

Any word if there are some 85$ tickets that will become available for the Thursday Show in Toronto? I missed the cheap ones last time they became available. I see all prices ranges are still available on ticketmaster for the show.

I am moving to Frankfurt this summer. I will have to prepare for this new style of enjoying concerts.

Thanks for the update Marmalade. I might just have to try the same for the next Toronto show. Kicking myself now that I didn't go.

In terms of Keith's guitar solos that are cited above, I can't say they impress me. This does not mean I don't like the Stones I don't own every Stones album or that I don't think Keith is an incredible song writer I do agree that players with pauses and who know how to break up their solos are more interesting, more interesting than someone who just plays a milli

It would appear there are some bugs in the ticketmaster site. Minutes later it now says there are 166 dollar tickets available, but when I clicked on them it said there were none left.

Interesting glitch, when I selected the 266 dollar tickets it some how automatically switched the price to 466$ even though that wasn't an option... this seems very shady. Please someone at the show let us know how full the place is when you get there,

At this moment ticketmaster claims there are only 266 and 624 dollar tickets available. Looks like me waiting until the last minute didn't pan out. I wonder if many will bite at the last minute for those pricey seats?

I just did a ticketmaster search for tickets for tonight's show in Toronto. The exact same pair of tickets showed up in the 624$ dollar range that showed up yesterday morning when I searched. I'm guessing that means not a single 624$ ticket sold yesterday. My hope is there is a last minute ticket price drop today at some point and I can scoop up some cheapies.

Alright so I missed my chance at the 85 tickets for Toronto. Checking on ticket master, the show is not sold out and tickets are still available at the 600, 400 and 200 dollar mark. Not sure if this was the case with other shows too, but doing quick ticket searches for each price range it would appear that very good seats are still available in each price bracket. This is simply a hypothesis, b

Hey Guys, I'm from Ontario and thought I would pass on seeing the Stones this time around. Ticket prices were a big factor as cash is quite tight these days. I checked on ticketmaster and see that the 266, 466 and 624 dollar tickets are all still available, I'm curious if 85 tickets have been announced yet? If so, anyone know where the link is? I would consider going for 85 bucks but

I would imagine the booing the Stones/Justin Timberlake took when performing in Toronto in 2003 is still in the heads of the Stones and they wouldn't even attempt to bring in Bieber. Even if they did you can bet the band would be hyping it up sooooo much for more publicity prior to the show.

Too much? In this man's books I felt no. An entire show of that energy with the Stones would be too much. But for just one song, to be on stage for 4 minutes you want to convey what you are about as a guest. In Dave's case it is energy. He did that well. If they invite a guest up to just blend in and not add anything unique to the mix it would make me question why they would bother to

I could picture Emily Hanes from Metric, the band is quite big in Canada. Fingers crossed that they get Gord Downie from the Tragically Hip, another example of a band that is massive in Canada but little known elsewhere.

Just curious if there has been any buzz about possible guests for the upcoming Toronto shows? So far the shows have had considerable star power. I can't picture who they would get other than possibly someone from Rush? The biggest Canadian names I could think of wouldn't gel with the Stones and the really cool Canadian bands likely aren't on the Stones radar, nor would they a

I must fully back what Dave Grohl says in that brief clip for the Lemmy trailer. Look at those who live the 'image' of the rough edged rocker and look at who actually lives it. Look who makes music and tours constantly and look at who relies on re-invigorating their past and relying on others. I do love Keith as a musician and song writer, But the man has issues with being a caricat

The segment from the movie on youtube is all I can find of this incredible tune. This song truly sounds like it could be one of the best mod-singles of all time. However I can't find a complete version other than the newly recorded one from 2011 which doesn't have the same edge. Can anyone help me find an original full length copy of the song?
