Toronto tickets slow?

Alright so I missed my chance at the 85 tickets for Toronto.
Checking on ticket master, the show is not sold out and tickets are still available at the 600, 400 and 200 dollar mark. Not sure if this was the case with other shows too, but doing quick ticket searches for each price range it would appear that very good seats are still available in each price bracket. This is simply a hypothesis, but I'm guessing tickets have been slow as good tickets are still available at each price range. Curious if there will be a last minute 85 dollar push again to help fill up all of those empty seats.

Good question. We'll find out soon enough. It seems they'd rather "flex price" the 600s down to 170 than open up a bunch of 85s like at the first few shows. It's quite the standoff heading into the final 48 hours. Who's going to blink first?

Toronto tickets appear to have sold well. Chicago might be easier to get a good seat at a decent price.

Their ticket strategy seemed to work well in California.

Just keep in mind,
Ticketmaster's strategy is to hold back good seats for last minute buyers.

If you're on the fence about going to a show and you scan the available tickets and they are all bad, you probably won't purchase them. So, Ticketmaster sells all the bad seats in the initial on-sale!

What a business.

I'm still trying to figure out tickets too. Holding out hope for a batch of $150's - if I can get tickets at that price I can manage to do both shows. If I don't get anything today, I'm gonna drive up tomorrow and see how I can do at the box office.

Anecdotally, I know of a few people with extra pairs (Floor seats, the kind that have been lowered to 170 at the box office at previous shows) but these people are still holding out hope thinking some fool will buy them at full price. At some point you'd figure when faced with eating the whole price of their tickets they will cut their losses and take what they can get. The promoters are essentially doing the same dance as the secondary sellers. This is like a poker game, waiting to see who's bluff gets called. Certainly not for the faint of heart, but I do think the odds are with the buyer with nerves of steel.

I just did a ticketmaster search for tickets for tonight's show in Toronto. The exact same pair of tickets showed up in the 624$ dollar range that showed up yesterday morning when I searched. I'm guessing that means not a single 624$ ticket sold yesterday. My hope is there is a last minute ticket price drop today at some point and I can scoop up some cheapies.

10 am EST just checked TM for tonights show there are some $266's coming up in the lower bowl section 101. I assume they were at least $466 before or even $624 just like most other shows.

Those were there from at least yesterday afternoon. As far as I know, price hasn't changed yet. Hoping it does!

I just checked again 11:15 ESt and there is a ticket drop for $166's that was not there an hour ago but I cannot get anything to pop. Also the $266's are not even an Option now.

Who the F%$K knows what their doing?

The $460s just dropped to $260....at 12:15pm ET.

Select $466, it will change to $260 when you put in the number of tickets.

I just checked and like you said, once I put the number of tickets in the $466 price changed to $266. Then when the tickets came up in section 104 they were priced at $466 so becareful and double check before you hit the final buy button.

>>I got $266 to come up...but they were located in the "Restaurant Level".<<

Me too. And according to the "virtual tour" of the restaurant at the Air Canada Centre site, it's quite a distance from the stage.

At this moment ticketmaster claims there are only 266 and 624 dollar tickets available. Looks like me waiting until the last minute didn't pan out. I wonder if many will bite at the last minute for those pricey seats?

Interesting glitch, when I selected the 266 dollar tickets it some how automatically switched the price to 466$ even though that wasn't an option... this seems very shady.
Please someone at the show let us know how full the place is when you get there,

It would appear there are some bugs in the ticketmaster site. Minutes later it now says there are 166 dollar tickets available, but when I clicked on them it said there were none left.

Thanks for the update Marmalade. I might just have to try the same for the next Toronto show. Kicking myself now that I didn't go.

Half price? What does that mean? 50 percent off tix? Anyone else get these?
