Re their live legacy, they may have got more "professional" 89 onwards, but it was the looseness, the rawness, the swing, combined with their presence, persona and actual look, of say 69 thro 82, that their "live" legacy was created. Every tour looked different. Every tour sounded different. Something was added. Something was taken away. There was edge. There was dange

Quoteliddas QuoteBig Al Yes, the good old days, was it was simply the 'European Cup' and a competition solely open to those teams who had won the domestic top-flight league the preceding season. Now, it's the ludicrous 'Champions League', where finishing fourth in your respective domestic league is considered a success. Really?? Completely agree!!! C Totally agree

My friend was at the Glasgow Apollo gig. 12 May 1976, which was a Wednesday night. He always said it was the same night of the 1976 European Cup Final between Bayern Munich and Saint-Etienne at Hampden Park in Glasgow. Bayern won 1-0. They used to (in the good old days) play the Final on a Wednesday night. He remembers Mick telling the crowd the final score and the crowd all booing, and

Love this film. Came out just before I started getting into The Stones Based on the rumours on this board..... Think it's a real pity that nothing has been done to improve the editing throughout. The original sound isn't too bad, although, again, it would have been great to have that improved. Also, some outtakes ? Just wonder if all the original film and sound still ex

Why havent we had an Urban Jungle release ? Very different staging to Steel Wheels inc Street Fighting dogs.... Many of the gigs started in day light as well which gave it a different vibe Some different tracks as well There must be loads of gigs to select from inc the Barcelona one. I know TV broadcast was limited but I'm sure the full gig is somewhere Personally I thought th

I got into the Stones in 1985. I think their best era was probably 1965 - 1982 I think their creative peak was around 1968 - 1972 Obviously, there are many songs that are incredible outwith 68-72, but as a collective body of work, to be able to rattle off those 4 albums in about 5 years, is nothing short of incredible.

Man it is 2025 and The Stones are still knocking out great songs and a great album !! And some quality gigs in between. Its amazing. Its not the 1960s or 1970s, but I'm just grateful they are still rolling in their 80s. I cannot wait until the next album !!!!!!!!! IORR !!!!!!

Supergrass were/are a fantastic group (I know they are UK) Some of their album tracks are just epic and heavy influenced by some of the greats from the 60s and 70s American band for me had/has to be The Black Crowes. Another fantastic group heavily influenced by The Stones and The Faces.

Kinda know what u mean..... Jagger in particular had some strange gear in 82, whereas in 81 it all hung great together and looked so cool Possibly as the American Football vibe just worked in the States, but didnt transfer so well over to Europe For me, they all looked soooooo cool in '81 !!!!!!!!

I dont have any IT knowledge of this kind of thing. Sorry. Personally I would be happy to contribute financially if it would help having a budget for this to set up and maintain. IORR has given me so much over the years, and I would be more than happy to give something back. For example, a monthly subscription I would be ok with.

Needs to be a show in GLASGOW please please please Not played Glasgow since 2007 !!!!!!! Not played Scotland (Edinburgh) since 2018 !! Founder of the band Ian Stewart was born in Scotland.... It's hopefully not the last tour, but one final trip north across the border would be really appreciated Mick, Keith & Ron.

QuoteMathijs QuoteTestify But why can't we have a professional DVD version of this? And a great concert! Because the Stones cannot reach a publishing agreement with the heirs of the original producer, and some of the original tapes are missing. Mathijs I never can understand this philosophy by the heirs..... Surely 10% of something (with The Stones weight and machine behind it)
