There would have been an official live album of the '72 tour Probably career spanning compilations rather than exclusively 60s and post '71 albums Probably 60s outtake albums to accompany anniversary issues Possibly some more 60s live albums I just think the 60s work would have been curated by The Stones themselves and probably received a lot more TLC.......

Any reason why this isn't making the set so far this year ? Such a popular song and I think played every night on the last European Tour - including being the opening song. Any thoughts why its been dropped as it's such a great song live

Is it just me, or are the Ronnie set list paintings from this tour all a bit "samey" Apart from the song list, the graphics are similar gig to gig He used to also do a quick sketch of some iconic building or image etc from the associated city or country Paris, Eiffel Tower. Mexican flag. etc etc It made them all unique and look really cool. Just saying........

I only really got into the Stones in '85 and saw them first time in 1990, but my thoughts are..... 81/82 stage is so iconic. I am probably influenced by Still Life being the first album I listened to. Kicking off with Under My Thumb together with the Hal Ashby LSTNT film at the start with the helicopter flying over it all in daylight with the stage, colours, Stones and the crowd in the su

Saw The Black Crowes support The Stones at Wembley, London, '95. I have seen them about 7 times, and they definitely played within themselves and very chilled, which I've always thought was as a mark of respect. Also, saw them support Page & Plant few days earlier in Glasgow. A great week !!

You're entitled to your opinion sir. Don't know if i'd have wasted so much time being negative. Personally I think it's a great album. SSoH is possibly in my Stones top 10. It's The Stones in 2023, not '78. In the same way it was the Stones in '71, not '63. It's amazing how they have evolved. The evolution may not be what you/we wanted. It'

Very very tough question.....so in reverse order..... 6. Bigger Bang would be in last place. Just can never get into this album no matter how much I try. Lyrics on many songs are just dreadful. Sorry. Maybe one day I will like this album..... 5. Prob Bridges. I really like some of the songs (love Thief in The Night), but there are a few which are poor. Also production isn't the best.

I thought 25x5 was fantastic when it was first released It was shown on BBC first around 1990 if I recollect correctly. Then issued as a home VHS circa 1991 Remember this was way way before the internet etc. Much of the footage which was used, had never been formally broadcast before. RnR Circus, Ladies & Gents, Muddy Waters gigs for example. It was like stepping into a Stones Aladdin&#

I suspect most people who use this site on a regular basis would pay a subscribing fee going forward. I know I certainly would and prob use the overall site a fraction of some others, but the news, info, community, discussions etc, make it all so worthwhile Perhaps BV should do a poll to see how much interest there is in subscriptions - either a one off or a regular annual thing for exampl

Friends brought so much joy and happiness from 94-04. Whether it was watched in English or translated to another language, it globally touched millions of people and brightened up their days. Matthew Perry was one of the core 6. A great actor and "friend" with fantastic lines delivered with impeccable comedy timing and inflections. He could also play it straight on the programme to

I dont think I fall into any of the categories tbh. I generally buy one official physical cd (and maybe one official vinyl) of every official release. This is for studio and live albums. So no 5 vinyls/CDs of Hackney Diamonds for me. Prob one CD and one vinyl. I have several copies of Sticky, Exile, Goats, Girls, Tattoo as they have been re-released several times, some with extra CDs or

Sweet Sounds is an incredible song in my humble opinion I've heard it about 10 times now, and had goose bumps listening to it again this morning - not had that vibe from a new Stones song for a long long time. I'm hearing lots of amazing similar vibes from 69 thro 72, but at the end of the day its The Rolling Stones 2023. Never thought the guys had this in them any more. It
