My laptop most of the time. iphone v occasionally. The site is perfect the way it is. Please please do not change it Its the quality of the Stones discussions, news, etc etc, that is important I couldn't care less about the aesthetics of the site. Simple black and white with a sprinkling of colour.

Quotepadre69 Nice little 8mm clip from Seattle 10/14/1981. The intro is longish, but worth watching. Mick’s outfit was really something else on that gig! :-) Amazing story and incredible footage. Fantastic vibe to it !!!!!!

LSTNT movie is great apart from 2 things; 1. All the songs are sped up and too fast - poor editing 2. The song editing is dreadful with beginnings and endings abruptly cut off Should be re-released at the proper speed and the editing tidied up. Agree with keefriffhards that the Stones were brilliant in '81. I too wore out Still Life and this movie. Couldn't get enough.

In no particular order.......my favourites are.......... Ya-Yas '69 Brussels '73 Tokyo '90 All very different versions with different tempos and attitude. Just amazing !! Latter day versions, whilst they are still good, don't have the menace. I live for the odd lick from Keef in these versions to reassure and remind me that somewhere deep insid

25x5 is one of the best documentaries ever about The Stones. If not thee best. I was about 20 when it came out and I knew so many people who loved it - many of them who were not even big Stones fans. Was watched over and over. So many great one liners (mostly from Keef) which became folklore amongst friends and are still used to this day. It had massive cross over appeal - might have bee

Quotecrholmstrom QuoteHairball QuoteVoodooLounge13 Well now we can officially put a fork in them, though really I think that could be said several decades ago. Saw them about 5 years ago, playing the full Joshua Tree album, for very cheap in Buffalo - the only way I would have ever seen them. Glad I can say BTDT, but have never been a fan of Bono's narcissistic ego, or his politics for tha

Urban Jungle had inflatable dogs during Street Fighting Man I remember Mick attacking them with a large stick/pole Then to finish it all off, he gets eaten alive by one at the end of the song.... aka as entering the inflatables mouth, disappearing..... ....and re-appearing at the start of Gimme Shelter !!

I know this topic has been done to death, but.......at the Anfield gig i would say Miss You was my least favourite. I know its a casual fan favourite, but it is too long now, too far departed from the original, and seems to get that little bit poorer as the years go by. I got a vibe even the casual fans were getting a bit bored with it towards the end of the song..... As has been said befo

QuotePapo In Germany, a few acts had to pull out of Wacken Open Air. On of the reasons is logistics - there is not enough crew and other tour personell around, so simply some tours have been cancelled altogehter or replacement dates are hard to organize. Many, many people seem to have left the business. Given that, I can fully understand that the Stones are traveling with a low-key productio

QuoteNikkei QuoteRockman Goin’ Home is fine for the first few minutes, but becomes a boring dirge thereafter NO man ya wrong ...... Right the best part of it is when "I'm gonna get out" switches to "I'm gettin out" Goin' Home is a classic. Its an early glimpse of The Stones creativity and imagination, and suggests other greater things to come in the f

First opportunity to post since the Liverpool gig !!!!!! Seen The Stones many times and this is up there with the best of them. What a show. You don't get to last 60 years unless you are the very best !!!! From SFM thro to Satisfaction, they were just awesome. Song highlight was "I Wanna Be Your Man" - rocked it as if it was '63 !! Liverpool crowd were fantastic and wel

QuoteStonesLO Hi all, the status of my AXS app for the Liverpool show has changed from 'ticket delivery is pending' to being told they aren't available in the app because I chose a different delivery method?! I didn't choose any other method. I am expecting my ticket to be on the AXS app so this is a bit concerning. Hoping its a temporary glitch but has anyone else noticed

Think we need to wait and see what it's all like during show time. At the moment it is looking very underwhelming Shouldn't be about the tix costs, but at these prices we should be getting world class production and staging i am hoping that on the night with the amazing music, all the screens on and cool lighting etc etc, and it comes to life, then we get a fantastic experience

QuoteTaylor1 QuoteHairball Yes the absolute power of Bill Wyman - he'll always be greatly missed, and the Stones have never been quite the same without him both live and in the studio. They could have at least included a picture of him somewhere in this release considering his essential and indispensable presence. If you remove his bass from these live songs when listening to them the bottom

QuoteStonedRambler Quotejigsaw69 You need all the v v finest of ingredients of Charlie n Bill together with Ronnie/Mick T/Brian and sometimes a sprinkling of Stu/Bobby/Billy/Nicky etc, to give us that magical mystic soup that we love called The Rolling Stones These slashes make those people seem a bit interchangeable though. Could as well say the Rolling Stones are the finest ingredients of Char
