Horrendous news... The headline from CNN that really rings true: "Planet Earth is Blue." RIP David Bowie.

After seeing this thread, I went back and listened to "Dig It," and I really don't see the Mick parody in there. But I know that Lennon was a big Stones fan, so I wouldn't be surprised if at some point in The Beatles' career John echoed some of what Mick was doing. I've always felt like there was some semblance of similarity between the vocals/guitar in "Happine

QuoteStones50 Well they should. It's their home! Esp NYC! Mad Sq Garden! Completely agree! They should be doing several nights at the Garden after completing skipping NYC on the Zip Code Tour!

Ticketmaster is horrible. Radio City show must have sold out in less than 20 seconds.

Quotealiceinseattle I'm just so bummed they aren't playing the PNW. Has anyone heard if this is a one time tour or if they are going to tour next year. Oteil did an interview recently saying that the group is 100% going to continue. I heard that they will most likely be doing a spring/summer tour, potentially doing some stadiums.

QuoteJ-J-Flash likecats I am very aware of all of this, saw them perform as the Dead. Have seen them play with many different guitarists. Not once did I ever hear one of their guest guitarists start to play parts of their own songs in the middle of classic Dead songs. Classless. Or none of their other guests tried doing stand up comedy jokes in between songs or wear a Jerry Garcia tie around thei

I saw the shows at MSG in New York, and the combination of musicians that the Dead have put together for this band is incredible. Between John Mayer and Oteil, if you close your eyes you'd think that Jerry and Phil were playing. And by the way, last night's setlist was pretty great: the fact that China Doll was played makes up for songs like Viola Lee Blues and El Paso.

QuoteMingSubu QuoteBobbyb98 Does anyone know if the Stones will potentially be touring in the summer? What hemisphere are you in? North America... Even though they were just here, they didn't really play the major markets.

I was at the show on Halloween, and it was awesome. Mayer is doing a much better job of channeling Jerry than Trey did at the Fare Thee Well shows. I'll be at the Garden for their next show on 11/7, and can't wait to see Mayer shredding again!

Deep Purple is a bigger deal to the Brits. For Americans, they're basically just the band that put out Smoke on the Water.

QuoteTurner68 In today's USA today there is a big Keith article He says he is "applying pressure gently" for their to be a new stones album Makes it sound like it's not decided at all It may be possible that the article was written before the iHeart radio interview was conducted. After making international headlines with the announcement of a new album, I would doubt that
