Huge fan.
Only, they haven't released a great album since Evil Heat.

Some ok songs, but no stuff anymore that blew the competition away (xtrmntr, vanishing point).

In 3 weeks time I'm going to my fifth PS concert. Live, they have never let met down.

Cool band, like them a lot. Screamadelica was produced by Jimmy Miller and feels like was tuned into the LIB '69 vibe.

Screamadelica's 'Loaded' has a SFTD rhythm. Live they incorporate the woo-hoos with plenty of youtube footage showing audience members singing SFTD lyrics as accompanyment.

Their last album is really good. Their best since XTRMTR & Evil Heat. It sounds like the good old Priml Scream, experimenting with everything but giving us good songs. By the way it sounds ten times better on vinyl... B-sides are worth cheking too.

Well, I don't know much about them but I think the lead singer is a cool-looking guy with tons of stage presence in a sort of an understated, non-flashy sort of a way. Anyways, I saw them on tv when they performed at Glastonbury this summer. The Haim sisters were singing backup. Was a great performance.

They are at their best when they don't try and sound like the stones.

I'm not impressed with the new album. I expected a lot more, especially after hearing the first single (2013).

I also have it on vinyl winking smiley

I love 'em, love More Light as well as all their earlier stuff. Though Gillespie can sometimes be a disappointing lyric writer, with the ever-recurring old "revolutionary" cliches. But that's the worst I can say about the mighty Scream.

Went to see them live years ago with great expectations (you know, the sound, looks and the Jimmy Miller connection).

Had to walk out at half time.

A good band (yet nothing exceptional): but mediocre songs and the attitudes of superstars.

I didn't like it when I listened to the CD. Too long, couldn't distinguish one song from another.... But once I started to listen to it on vinyl everything seemed to come to life. There's a lot of things to discover. The haunting but burried Robert Plant vocals on Elimination Blues are one of these.
To me More Light is in the vein of Screamadelica, Vanishing Point and XTRMTR. With better production.

If you ever find yourself needing a flame but have no lighter but
you happen to have a gum wrapper (or similar foil) and a AA battery... voila

I guess you also better have some scissors too..

They have the right swagger for it musically, but the vocals are terrible IMO. Musically it is pretty good, although still untouchable to even the worst Stones version.

Very poor version. Vocals and drum are terrible.

I think no one should touch to that song except the Stones (and their tribute bands). Some respect, for god sakes. Primal Scream sound like little boys playing with big boys'guns.

Vocals are boring' cause it's a warm-up song for him. Nothing wrong with the rest imho.

I'm sure many blues purists said the same thing about The Stones and their covers.
