I wonder how it would sound as the Stones did a version of Shake your Hips on the "next tour" ...........unknown song for most of the audience....but i think they would play the roof of the building ( grinning smiley ) _________ (Dutch saying)

It could be awesome.... Jagger could come out and do his best Sly Stone (at Woodstock) impression, and explain to the crowd they are all going to do a group participation thing... and everybody should get on their feet and start doing that hip shake thing.

No because some horribly high percent of people don't wash their hands properly, if at all, after going to the toilet. eye popping smiley

Slim Harpo has some other great stuff too! Everyone here should pick one of his "Best of" CD's - really amazing music.

Other than on Exile the roadhouse boogie is not a sound the band or Jagger seem interested in playing much. I question whether it can pull it off. Having Taylor on stage gave it an opportunity that it didn't take. I think it's hot and sexy when done right. I have previously mentioned James McMurtry. There is a thread about about the North Mississippi All Stars that makes me think of R.L. Burnside. I love the sound. In my day dreams I think about the band giving it a two or three song shot. It's something old and would be something new at the same time, but it has to be played with conviction. Along the same lines, last time around I was really hoping for Stop Breaking Down with Taylor.

I MUST NOT be understanding your post. This type of boogie is all over the early LPs...and have you listened to Jagger's cuts with The Red Devils?

This is my favourite ping-pong show at the moment. Ping-pong actually
has a Stones connection since Bill Wyman is a very keen ping-pong player...
