There will be lots of footage on tv and web.
the chances to get in or even a glimpse of our main band are pretty slim - I suppose.

4 - Eligibility of Films
Eligible for participation are feature films and documentaries of at least 70 minutes running time which:
have been produced in the 12 months preceding the Festival
have not been released in Europe other than in their country of origin
have not been presented in another German or European film festival
Films produced for television can only be considered if a theatrical release is also planned
German films must not have been shown publicly prior to the Festival
are available in 16mm, 35mm or 70mm formats. Video formats upon request.

Priority will be given to world premieres.

there will be. They told me by e-mail yesterday. The full programme will be published on their website on january 29th.

Ok then, I obviously misread the reply. Far out and very funky in that case ... there WILL be an opportunity to see it in fact, information and tickets to become available on the 29th. Well, my impatience to see this film is such that I might just HAVE to make an effort to get to Berlin during this festival ... woo hooooooo !!

Berlinale's press office have advised me that there will be a screening of the film open to the public the same evening as the premiere (ie, 7th February) (the exact time of which will be announced on January 29 at their website).

Tickets for this can be bought from February 6 on.

while the Berlinale Palast (where the premiere first takes place), has a capacity for 1600 ppl it's not clear where the public will see it.

All other locations are much smaller.

Its probably been mentioned on other threads, but just to tie in with the subject of THIS one, a reminder that, per the news section, the London premiere - with the Stones in attendance - will be at Leicester Square (presumably the Odeon) on April 2nd.

i can't wait for the stones in london! Wow thats too too too cool! I Hope they make it a massive premiere with maybe a few live tunes outside?!? Hahah I'll keep my fingers crossed!

For the premiere you mean? Yes...as with the one in Berlin, it would probably be a private/industry event
