It would have been funny if all the Stones on the 1975 tour and Billy got marine style crew cuts like Charlie.

On the first (1975) shot Brian Jones is present (or his spirit) on the right above the speaker.
But no, on the second shot he changes into a girl and Ian Stewart shows up from behind that same speaker. Photos .... cool smiley

IORR has been publishing pictures and stories from all press conferences and shows since IORR went online in 1996 i.e. from 1997, 1998 and so on. Just follow the News pages and the tour announcements, and there are plenty of pictures and reports. I attended every one of them, see examples here:

Thanks, Rockman!
About Brian ... in 1971 I was hitchhiking in Iceland of all places, when two cars with eight French stopped. They allowed me to join them. During a coffee break I noticed that one of them was a copy of Brian Jones. Amazing.
Even more so, one year later I was in a train taking me from Metz to Paris and at some moment a French guy told me that I had to change trains in Reims if I wanted to go to Paris. That guy turned out to be the same "Brian Jones" I had met in Iceland .... very creepy eye popping smiley

All NYC has been a DMZ -- even in relatively sedate Bay Ridge Brooklyn we have (very loud) fireworks going off throughout the night. Rode a fairly empty subway today and still had to change cars 3 times due to people screaming, smoking and spitting, threatening strangers. I have a bad feeling we're getting back to the 70s/early 80s New York. Often mythologized but it sucked to live here. Though the music scene was much better.

Go to St Marks Place. There is the bar from the video on the corner: 132 First Ave.
[vbarandcompany.com]

Its cozy. Theres a Tattoo You cover framed on the wall by the bar.

The Waiting on a Friend staircase is 30 meters around the corner, at St Marks Place no 95-98 I believe. Its at the Physical Graffitti Led Zeppelin house.
You´ll see it right away.

[en.wikipedia.org]

The place has changed a litte bit, the bar on the corner is different, but the stairs and the rest was like in the video last time I was there in East Village NYC.
