Made a last minute decision and gave it a go.
She played mean guitar. And sang brilliantly. What a powerhouse of a blues wailer.
No sign of tour fatigue at all after going around GB and playing 9 one-nighters in different locations without even one day off before this final stop. And the tour continues on the Continent from tomorrow, another 8 consecutive nights. Tough woman.

One of the many great things about being a Samantha Fish fan is that she seems to nearly never pause from touring. If you have the bad luck of having to miss a show because of a schedule conflict, as I did Aug 30 when I already was seeing Dave Alvin & Jimmy Dale Gilmore in Richmond when a Samantha show popped up the same night in Charlottesville, y'know what? She's pretty likely to be back around again soon.

Sure enough, I'm seeing her -- my 5th time -- thirty miles south of Richmond next month.

Also, every show of hers I've seen except for one during covid, she's worked the merch table after.

She's won Blues Road Warrior awards.

You just can't ask for more from a blueswoman than what Samantha Fish gives.

It was fukkin outrageous to me that the Stones for years were selling their opening gigs to a Hollywood mogul billionaire and his employees' bogus blues band while continuing to pass over the much superior, infinitely more deserving Samantha Fish. I hope my and others' fuming about it on this site played some small part in bringing this to somebody at Rolling Stones Inc.'s attention.

Have had great luck with concerts so far this year. The two most recent, Brigitte Calls Me Baby on Sep 22 in DC, and The Beaches on Sep 27 in Richmond, both were excellent.

I'm revisiting Twin Peaks Seas 2 in which she's the piano-playing girl, and finally watching 2017 Twin Peaks to catch up on her character.
I think Alicia's gonna perform Chappell Roan's Good Luck, Babe! in her set. They're similar spirits. Chappell studied acting, is a cinephile, and in a Midwest Princess song cites "that one sex scene in Mulholland Drive," IMO David Lynch's greatest movie.
