Lenny Kravitz, March 7th, at the Olympiahalle Munich.
Have seen him there twice in the early / mid 90ies, both concerts were amazing - with Robert Plant and Skunk Anansie as support acts. If I remember correctly, John Paul Jones played bass guitar in Kravitz´Band at the 1996 show.

Foreigner…. Vancouver…not on sale yet

Foreigner came to Abbotsford I think last year on their farewell tour. They're coming again? Can't justify seeing a band with no original members left!

Saw them a couple of years ago as an opening act, was enjoyable, couldn't believe how much the singer sounded like the original, but yeah I wouldn't have paid for it. Same as Skynyrd. No original members, farewell tours as a money-grab that last too long.

Speaking of long farewell tours, Buddy Guy is hitting my city for the 3rd time in 3 years, but as Mick says, he's "Buddy mother-f*cker Guy". Might catch that (for the 3rd time).

With no original members how does a group use the band's name? Do they buy the name from the band? And aren't you really just seeing a tribute band at that point. Nothing wrong with tribute bands but aren't you paying real band prices for a tribute band?

Wait, are you saying a bunch of foreigners are inhabiting Foreigner now?

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle! (I've never knew what that meant, but it felt right)

Last original member was Mick Jones. Trooper played here in Hope at our fall fair last September and they have no original members! I didn't bother going but everyone that went had a good time. I'm sure 90% of the crowd weren't familiar with the band members to begin with!

The Darkness - St John's Castle, right here in Limerick City

Hopefully also Oasis - Dublin

And even more hopefully, if the Manic Street Preachers visit these shores in 2025. The new album was released on Friday, very much enjoying it.

Their albums IMO
1. Dogrel 4.5 *'s
2. A Hero's Death 4.5 *'s
3. Skinty Fia 3 *'s
4. Romance - haven't waded thru it all but from what I have heard nothing has appealed to me

It's such an unfortunately common pattern for so many rock bands that start out strong. I hope they correct course and get back on track.

I haven’t heard any of their albums — I’m more of a gig-goer rather than an album listener.
Came across mixed reviews on Romance, their latest album. While it is picked in a number of “best of 2024” selections in the media, some, like you, say it is not up to their expectations. Thought Favorite is a good song, at least.

Saw them for the first time at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow last December, performing in front of a packed crowd of near 15,000 (sold-out).
And last night I saw them at an intimate venue of a 1,300 capacity, situated on the outskirts of Osaka, in the district adjacent to where I grew up.
Large or small, they brought the house down on both occasions. The crowds went wild both times.

Whether this guitar-driven quintet (live they are joined by one additional member) from Dublin rises to the next U2 level remains to be seen — perhaps depending on if they can create their own Joshua Tree, the breakthrough album in their career.

Just cancelled all the European 2025 Stones reservations etc. (waited awhile, just in case). Now have tickets for AC/DC (USA), Paul Simon & Billy Joel dates (Bucket List) AND excited for Soul Coughing! Probably will add Pretenders & Sammy Hagar in Vegas (back to back nights). Leaving everything else open from July onward, just in case there is a fall Stones 2025 trek, somewhere (hopefully!).......

*Already been there. Got no ticket (a complete sell-out, no production seats etc. were released at the venue box-office) but managed a spare ticket from another spectator at face.
