Taking my kids to see Lana del Rey. Cat Power thinks she's good, so she must be good.

NME just gave her a rave review for a show in London. [www.nme.com]
Lana's got something, I hope to see her live at some point.

I was at The Hyde park show and the show in Amsterdam a week before. Both shows were spectaculair. Very very impressed from what I saw. Her voice is stunning and she has an aura of mystery around her. Lana lives in the wrong area. She belongs in the late sixties / early seventies. She would be a good match with Jim Morisson. This year is her breakthrough to the mass audiences. She’s on her way to super stardom (as not already).

I saw Cheap Trick at Chicago's Metro on the 16th. They are still ripping it live! Rick Nielson is so good!!
Upcoming shows: Incubus on Sunday, Pearl Jam in Sept and maybe Springsteen at Wrigley and Aerosmith/Blk Crowes in Nov.
Also on the radar: Riot Fest, Amyl & the Sniffers (for the 3rd time) and Porno for Pyros.
I have to say that it seems ticket prices for some bigger acts are exceeding what the Stones have been charging! I'm looking at you, Aerosmith and Pearl Jam.
