They won't do it since they would have to reiforce that side of the stage. Lets face MT Blew his chance of a lifetime by leaving the Stones, now he has to be happy playing to "huge "crowds of a 100 or so.

The Stones' probably would have folded by the late 70's if Taylor had stayed. And he wasn't happy in the Stones when he left. I'm sure he's perfectly happy playing to small crowds. From what I've heard, his most recent shows are great.

He only knows the music of the cashmachine like the one in Pink Floyd " Money". Why didn't he choose to coach them ?
I heard the Stones make you wear a paper bag over your head when you come to their concerts so the girls don't get scared!!! Clown!!
And Roadster - hey old bands NEVER get back together...
Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Motley Crew, Pink Floyd, Cream, The Police, the Clash almost did when Joe Strummer suddenly died, same thing with Humble Pie Frampton & Stevie Marriott were back in the studio when Stevie died in his house fire. But you KNOW that Jagger & Richards will NEVER invite Taylor or Bill Wyman to sit-in again, even just for one night... any other brite ideas??
yeah here we go again, and why do you think people would be "let-down" by having the best damn Lead Guitarist the Stones EVER had in the band sit-in for one night? I for one wouldn't be let down, Hell, if it was in LA, I might even buy a ticket to the show and go see it, something I haven't done since 1975!!! (pay for a Stones concert ticket)
And I bet alot of other "Stones" fans around here wouldn't be "let-down" by that event either! I bet they would be thrilled as HELL to see Mick Taylor playing Lead on some of those old CLASSIC Stones songs!! my opinion...
And never say never - only Jagger / Richards can make that statement and I haven't heard them say: Not under any circumstances... so there's HOPE!!

Of course Mick or Keith would never say it. That doesn't mean there's actually "hope" though. Actions speak louder than words. There's been ample opportunity for it to happen over the past umpteen years - so, there's gotta be an explanation along the lines of the "the Stones really don't want to compete with their past" or something. It's just not in the cards, I'm afraid. I mean if it didn't happen on the Licks tour at the Astoria - when it seemed as though nothing could derail it - you gotta come to terms with the reality of the situation.

I don't have a clue why they wouldn't add MT and bring Bill back for one last tour.
Probably somebody needs to pin Mick & Keef down in an interview and ask them. Its not abour comparing Ronnie to mick or 2006 to 72/73. They should hev a sense of history and do it.
This much I am sure of: we are running out of daylight.........
don't give me that ole one two, one two three four
The Stones will probably know it when they do their final gig. At that point it would be cool to have both Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman on. Imagine a small set with "versions" of the Stones. First Bill Wyman joins for a song. Then Ronnie sits the next one out while Mick Taylor comes on and does a song. So you have the '75-'91 Stones with MJ, KR, CW, RW and BW, and you have the '69-'74 Stones with MJ, KR, CW, MT and BW. Lastly they all join in on a song that has Brian Jones trademarks all over it as a tribute (And maybe some song to tribute Stu too).
RopenI - I was trying to stay "nice", could have really unloaded on you if I wanted for your childish crack at Taylor and his weight, as if personal appearance has anything to do with musical ability...
STod - Yeah I know, they have had many chances and it hasn't happened, but
Taylor still talks to and socializes with these guys, who knows what really happened at Astoria that night but Taylor was given the impression he would play with them, at least on one song??
I'll be just as surprised as you if it does happen, we'll see..

The reality is that Mr Taylor was good for the band many moons ago, now he is history, no one told him to quit. But l am sure he is happier now....NOT.
