Authorized sources in contact with the Rolling Stones management have confirmed that, despite the fact that in recent months there have been fairly advanced negotiations for them to tour Latin America in the first months of 2025, there will ultimately be no Stones tour there. The group's next tour, as in the "Sixty Tour" of 2022, will tour Europe again, this has been communicated to the producers of the frustrated tour of Latin American countries.

On July 2, the British newspaper The Sun published a report in which it practically assumed that the Stones, although they would not announce anything until finishing their current North American tour, which ends this Sunday, July 21 in Ridgedale, Missouri, would tour through the southern cone at the beginning of 2025. It was even said that the Argentine promoter Daniel Grinbank would organize a new massive concert on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro as they did in February 2006 as part of his “A Bigger Bang Tour”, which was attended by nearly 2 million people, the largest attendance record for a show ever recorded in the group's history and which was recently equaled by Madonna on that same stage. According to the sensational tabloid, the Stones would like to surpass that mark.

But Latin America will definitely have to wait for a better opportunity. These days the possible calendar of dates for a European tour is already being structured which, as has been usual in recent years, would initially take place in May, June and July, taking advantage of the fact that in those months the sports competitions have ended and it is easier to organize the logistics of setting up the stages. Obviously, nothing is known about dates in Spain, but it can be assumed that given that Madrid was the city that hosted the Stones' Spanish show in 2022, this time the chosen one could be Barcelona. There is also strong talk that one of the key performances of that tour would be to headline the Glastonbury festival again, as they did in 2013.

The American leg of the “Hackney Diamonds Tour” has been a sensational economic success for the group, which has achieved “sold out” in all the concerts of the tour and has caused the press to unanimously point out that the group is in excellent shape, doing intense, strong and spectacular concerts as we were able to see first-hand last May 2 at the New Orleans Jazz Festival, a show that was widely covered by Mariskal Romero and Mariano Muniesa for our media such as special envoys. Undoubtedly, the magnificent reception from the public and the great moment that the group is experiencing at all levels has encouraged them to continue on the road next year.

From Mariskalrock.com we will follow minute by minute all the details of these negotiations and we hope to announce the dates of the Rolling Stones' European tour for 2025 very soon.

Bring it on. Hoping they play Copenhagen this time around, as I'd really like to travel there.

I'll be grateful for any UK/European gig next year. Hyde park always works with the Stones so it would get a thumbs up from me. Just no Wembley Stadium please...I have real hatred for the venue from a fans point of view.

It really can't be said enough that the current stadium, opened in 2007,with the same name and built on the same land as the old one which closed in 2000 are 2 completely different things. Hosting live music clearly wasn't built into the design plans for the new place because the acoustics are abysmal and so too are many sightlines. Top tier is ludicrously high. It's horribly echoey too. Thankfully the Stones have shown no interest in playing there, performing 7 outdoor shows in the city since it opened : 4 x Hyde Park, 2 x London Stadium and 1 x Twickenham. There are plenty of large stadia in London for them to play nowadays.

Agree. Terrible sound in Wembley. Twickenham and London Stadium works well

But in Hyde Park there are strict limits concerning loudness. So the concert is quieter than in a stadium.

Hyde Park, while great in lots of ways, is much too quiet in terms of volume for a Stones show.
Twickenham!! That was great when they last played there, Charlie's last UK gig.

Lots of other acts rumoured euro stadium shows next year (Bruce unlikely to come back for just the 4x rescheduled, U2 rumoured June start in Europe, AC/DC, the weeknd, pj and others) be interesting to see how this all lands in May-July (non football season)

The Wembley Stadium he grew up near no longer exists in any form.

I guess if U2 play the Bernabeu or Civitas stadium in Madrid, the Stones can play the (newly opening) Camp Nou in Barcelona (etc).

Same in France - RS play Marseille, U2 can play Lyon and they can work out Paris between them.

London can handle multiple gigs across one weekend - last time the RS were in Hyde Park, Ed Sheeran was doing multiple nights at Wembley and another act can play at the London Stadium or Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

In Germany, feels like maybe they would give Munich a miss (sadly) this time and go for Stuttgart/Frankfurt (Hamburg??) - loads of places to play at the same time as U2 (enough money flying around in those areas for it to work...).

All good stuff!

As far as I know it is not allowed to give concerts in Bernabeu and Camp Nou. If the Stones will play in Spain it will be the Olympic Stadium Lluis Companys in Barcelona or Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid.

Hopefully not that bloody waldstadion in Frankfurt again. Munich might really be unlikely as olympiastadium might be under reconstruction.
On the other hand I think it has been more than twenty years the Stones played east Germany except Berlin. So it might be Leipzig or Dresden finally.

Hopefully they will play in Cologne.

Wherever they play, it will be easy enough to get to - Cologne, Dusseldorf or wherever else in the area.

Distances in the UK & Europe are far shorter than they are in North America and public transport is much better developed too. If you're a Stones fan in North America, there's a helluva long way to travel if you want to see multiple shows!

If they tour Europe next year, I think a stop in Switzerland is a safe bet as they always try to make up for cancelled shows. The Swiss promoter said something along the lines of „Mick promised it to me“…
