Certain traditions must be upheld, it would appear! Any word on a Glasgow show?
Glastonbury have Springsteen locked in for 2025. They won't have the Stones as well.
Glasto 2025 runs June 25>29.
Bruce takes at least 2 days off between shows.
Bruce will play Milan on June 30 and July 3, and is heavily rumoured for Goteborg June 21, 24, and 27.
so...no way.
We shall see. It was very widely rumoured in local circles that Bruce was very close to replacing Madonna at this years Glastonbury despite having Netherlands dates locked in. Bruce probably has one more shot at headlining Glastonbury (and it won't be in 2026 as there won't be a festival that year). A third night in Gothenburg (lovely and beautiful as it is) or a headline slot at Glastonbury? It's an easy answer if the offer is on the table and additional European dates have not yet been released.
Anyway, for what it is worth I can't see the Stones ever playing Glastonbury again. They had their shot and that is it.

an easy answer: third night at Ullevi! it's a mithical venue for Bruce and his fans (he played it 14 times between 1985 and 2023), and makes him way more money than Glasto.

if it was over mick wouldn't be talking about future shows
and i would think if he knew it was over he would tell the press that so that he could drive up ticket sales for this tour
that being said it very well could be the last american (and canadian show) they ever do simply because of there ages
i personally think mick will continue performing at least into his late 80's with or without the stones

Contracts are on a by tour basis. Each tour is a brand new business endeavor.
And every tour an opportunity to lock in a great fee :-)

A friend of mine said they are going to play Naples - Italy next summer but she works in a cafe down the docks, she doesn't know anything.

I just read that the Stones' hotel was swept up by a tornado. Now the rest of the tour is up in the air!
I also heard that Mick invited his housekeeper over to play poker. She cleaned house. He had her over the next day, too, and she cleaned his clock.
And they may have to cancel the LA shows. Mick spent the last two days doing his famous Mr Ed imitation and now he has a hoarse (horse) voice.
And did you know that back in 1966 Mick was all set to quit the Stones and join The Turtles? Then one of the Turtles snapped at him!
The latest news about Mick is that he has been made a generous offer to be the news and musical director on a celebrity cruise around the Mediterranean. He almost accepted until he found out that they want him to be the anchor.
That's about all the rumors I have. For now.
