Mick has other thoughts on what’s next. At least at the moment he does. He wants to finish another album first. Lots of bits and bobs to finish up on it as well, before a tour can happen.
If another album comes first, would Europe not get a Hackney Diamonds tour? I loved this tour getting 4 HD songs it fit so well and I'd imagine they would still play these songs in Europe
as far as I remember: when HD came out BV said something like they'll be focussing some 18 month on promoting/touring the album. In other words: a new album wont be released until fall 2025 (= if you count from the beginning fo the US tour)
Polydor has an 18 month promotional plan. It started in August of 2023.
I find it strange that they hyped FORTY LICKS so much with a huge push through streaming platforms and have held onto the out dated mentality of, well, here:
“Getting Forty Licks back out was really important for us as we’ve not had a compilation in the market that tied both ABKCO and the Stones’ post-1971 catalogue together for years,” added Tant. “There are various metrics we want to hit over the next 18 months but personally I’d like to get the Stones into the top 100 acts on Spotify off the back of Hackney Diamonds and keep them there!”
I guess Polydor's Ali Tant forgets what a playlist is and how one can work.

hmmm........the tickets are usually announced for a Friday in late November
Not in Europe: the SIXTY-Tour was announced on 14-Mar-2022 and start was 1-Jun-2022 - so less than 3 months in-between.
similar in 2018 – tickets went on sale in late March, the first show was Dublin on May 17 – only two month in-between

2018 general sale started 2-Mar-2018 - [X.com] - and for Dublin on 23-Mar-2018 - [X.com] - due to the late confirmation of the Dublin date - [iorr.org] .

my mistake – I just checked the date I bought my ticket for Dublin (and forgot that Dublin was announced later than the other shows)

question doesn t the band meet towards the end of every year to discussing the company future????

The routine used to be fall/winter tour in the US and then a summer tour in Europe. The thing now is that there will be almost a year to a Europe summer tour.
Which is a long time if they want to keep their chops together. Age is also a factor of course - there is simply no time for long breaks anymore.

Yes, why not a fall tour like in 2017 !

By "the INSIDER" I meant someone who knows something more that just a "thoughts" and speculations what is Mick about to do...
Like some of you mentioned above (incl. BV) - HD album is continuesly to be promoted and Europe is (most probably) next region they will tour. New album if it happen it will happen in future (and NOT near future).

Using the same HD timeline (October 2022-February 2023) and with 11-12 tracks almost finished (plus some new tracks added) the next album should be ready by January-February 2025.
They can release it just for the 2025 European tour and promote it during 3 months playing 2 songs, plus 2 HD songs.
Even releasing an album with 11-12 songs and with new songs added from the new sessions, they would even have leftovers for another album.
According to Keith, the band has 5-6 songs in the can with Charlie from 2019 and they only used 3 (Ghost Town and the 2 in HD) so Charlie will surely appear on the new album as well.

The fact that the Stones' last real worldwide hit, SMU, dates back to 1981, doesn't necessarily rhyme with renewal of fan spirit
!

mpj200 is pretty much as insider as it gets here and he's often right
and i would assume the album would have to be near future like anything more they wanna do
when your over 80 time is not on your side and if the album is 75% complete (as mick has basically said) it's probably not gonna take much to get done
finishing before next summers tour doesn't seem unrealistic to me

I think that’s got way more to do with price gouging of concerts.

Also, yes, you're right, but the last hit over 40 years ago didn't renew the fan base...

Didn’t renew the fanbase? I was born in 1988, 7 years after the release of Start Me Up. I have seen the Stones almost 25 times live in Europe and the USA. I save all my money to see them live on stage and my my whole life is dedicated to The Rolling Stones. My dog is called Jagger and my son is named after the owner of this website. I have some friends standing next to me, born in the same year or even later. And they have got the same passion. There are a lot of ‘younger’ fans more, but they are not always in the opportunity to see them live because they can’t pay the prices. However the fanbase is definitely renewed since 1981. The Stones are a religion for all ages. So I can’t wait for the next show! Bring it on Europe 2025!

AC/DC had mega-successful albums until 2008-2009, Black Ice was #1 worldwide and an incredible success in the US, it was the second best-selling album in the world in 2008, the tour was impressive, that renewed the base for millions and the band released 2 new albums since then, not to mention that Back In Black is a stainless classic that is uninterruptedly on the charts week after week.
It is logical that their fan base is much younger than that of the Stones.
I saw and meet a lot of young fans from Argentina in 2022 in Europe. Maybe about 30 years old and younger. Very enthusiastic, with a lot of passion, some with Stones tattoos. Very nice people.Quote

i was born in 1991 and have a dog named angie and a cat named jack flash
but i've never meet another millennial fan in person
i have meet a few gen z fans including one even more fantical then me with mick's face from the goats cover tattooed on his arm
and i've got a few gen alpha members of my family into them
i have a theory about why i seem to see more gen z fans then millennial fans
i think my generation looked down on them as being to old and dinosaurs from another era while gen z seems to respect and appreciate that there one of the last bands standing from that era and one of the biggest too and they're seems to be a sense of awe that they're still going at there ages
