Mick handled a stupid question gracefully here. I mean, how the hell did this interviewer think it would feel to lose your lifetime friend? Oh, it's just like when a pet goldfish dies, no big deal. Idiot. Putting Mick on the spot like that was insensitive and unprofessional. They should have had someone with more maturity and life experience interviewing him.

Will anyone be able to share this interview for listening? (MP3 I mean)
I would be happy to share if I have it, but most probably this is mission impossible in my region.
Many thanks anyway.

Why don't you just press play on the YouTube-link and listen?

Yeah that was the low point of a pretty empty interview filled with silly questions (the one about Mick's relationship with Macca was another low point) from a guy who seemed to be trying to make it about himself way too often ("done hours of research", "oh I can also tell you tp rewrite your lyrics too then", etc...) and got practically zero new info out of Mick about the subject at hand, i.e. HD !!!

Just watched the entire thing, massive missed opportunity. Terrible interviewer, weak questions and just let Mick waffle on about things we've heard before.

What a bunch of whiners on here who always have to complain about everything.

Great interview and it was nice to hear Mick talk about Charlie.

Totally agree with you. Great interview. One of the best I’ve seen with Mick in years. He was in a great mood and shared nice things about recording, mixing and about Keith and of course our beloved Charlie smiling smiley

agree with those who like it. We all know the quote about Mick being a nice bunch of guys. When he is this guy, he seems really down to earth and friendly.

'Angry' was mixed by Serban Ghenea - [iorr.org] . Mixed at MixStar Studios (Virginia Beach, VA) - [www.45worlds.com] - (see CD inlay).

Loved this interview with Mick, it was clear he is warming towards Keith since Keith's sobriety and he was fairly complimentary towards him.

Yeah this is the most open and relaxed I've seen Mick talking about the Stones, I'd go so far as to say he sounds proud of them and the single/ album.

He said he started with a riff while writing the song but Keith came along and did his thing on it and really liked it.
There is a lot of guitar on the song, you infer the guitar playing on the recording is Mick.
Let's not put Keith out of a job here winking smiley

I hope when I’m 80 I look as good as Mick and am as mentally sharp. But during the interview he said Stevie Wonder, BbKing and Ike and Tina Turner were all opening acts for the Stones on the 1972 tour

One of the better more interesting interviews with a Stone, rather than rehashing the usual.

There's a lot of things to be learned from this interview, and not only by Mick's answers. Having said that, I enjoyed this interview very much.

Mick talks a lot about Matt and even Stevie Wonder. But no mention about Chuck. Is Chuck going to be on the new album?

Yeah, not a bad interview, overall. We're huge Stones fans, here, so there's always going to be the scenario whereby we feel this, or that, should or shouldn't have ben asked. Regarding the Charlie topic: I thought it to be honest, and it was nice to see Mick open-up in the manner he did.

I have made new IORR editorial pages dedicated to the new album:

The Rolling Stones
Hackney Diamonds
New Album by October 20, 2023

Links to the above pages are all over the IORR web site.

Please help in by sending additional information, corrections, spell check updates, anything relevant to these pages, to the IORR Editor at the e-mail address:

iorr@arena.no

I have been working hard to make these pages since the press event on Sept 6. Unfortunately it took a lot of time to monitor, delete and handle all the personal messaging on IORR related to illegal leaks of tracks. I do not work for the Stones. I do what I like, but I do not accept messing up IORR with private messaging and distribution of illegal tracks. I did close the posting access for 2-3 users who clarly actively violated basic IORR rules by private messaging and requesting/offering distribution. Without all this extra work, I would have been able to do more IORR editorial work, and also able to publish the Hackney Diamonds IORR pages sooner. I would like to thank everyone who respect the basic rules of posting on IORR, otherwise this site would have been closed down long time ago, due to the time needed to keep the site clean, safe and easy to navigate and read.

Keith's parts (top and bottom left) are well done. I'm pretty sure Mick's guitar (top right) is in open G as well. Here he plays it in standard.

He dived in pretty thoroughly. Some of Keith's licks towards the end I haven't even noticed yet thumbs up
