The venue looks amazing. Anyone been?
Saw and heard some about it while in Vegas for the Stones.
On the option list for Sept/Oct..
"Located in the heart of Las Vegas, Dolby Live is the preeminent location for live music in Dolby Atmos. The only performance venue of its kind, Dolby Live features a fully integrated Dolby Atmos music experience offering guests a transformative music experience they can't get anywhere else.
Featuring a fully integrated Dolby Atmos playback system, the entire space has been designed, calibrated, and tuned by Dolby engineers specifically for the 5,200-seat theater."

With Aerosmith it's kind of like equipping a sow with a silk purse

This is a big one. If he's not playing, I don't think I'd want to see them. Had tickets to the Madrid show this summer too. I think it's totally lame they cancelled Europe, but do want to see them again. I think this will probably be the last run for them.

I am pretty sure festivals in Europe pay more than a night in a 5,000 seater in Vegas and that they didn't cancel Europe for Vegas.

with corona cases on the rise again? nobody gives a sh*t about it... there will not be any restrictions during the summer season at all here... this decision was made just because it's easier money for them than some traveling/tour in europe

This is Vegas. This is MGM. Tickets in Vegas are expensive. Vegas pays well. Without the travelling and lugging huge stages across Europe, needing a big crew that has to be transported and lodged accross Europe.

If you look at recent tours, Aerosmith don't tend to stray outside North America too often. Despite their popularity outside of that continent, I was a little surprised to discover just how few shows they've performed in, say, the United Kingdom. Aerosmith tend to fly-over for the big festival slots, but when did they last embark on a substantial European/U.K. tour? The ship has probably sailed, anyhow. A Vegas residency obviously feels appropriate to them.

bye bye johnny
Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer has "regrettably made the decision to sit out the band's concerts in 2022 so he can focus his full attention on his family during these uncertain times," according to a statement from the band. Kramer was estranged from Aerosmith in 2019 but returned in 2020.

Oh, that sucks. And what a statement. Why can't they just be honest? After 2 years of sitting around one would think that getting out of the house would be something to look forward to. And which family needs the "full attention" of their grand dad?? Sounds like a horror movie to me.
