Aerosmith, Billy Idol, Joan Jett to Perform at Steven Tyler’s ‘Jam for Janie’

Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Linda Perry, Matt Sorum, and Nuno Bettencourt are also among the night's performers.

By Jessica Lynch, Paul Grein

Steven Tyler’s sixth annual Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party has been announced, with the star-studded charity event to kick off on Feb. 2 at the Hollywood Palladium.

Hosted by Grammy-winning comedian Tiffany Haddish, the evening features a powerhouse lineup of performers, including Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Linda Perry, Matt Sorum, and Nuno Bettencourt. A special highlight will be a reunion performance by members of Aerosmith.

The event supports Janie’s Fund, the rocker’s nonprofit aiding young women and girls who have survived abuse, and expands its philanthropic reach this year to benefit the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the Widows, Orphans, and Disabled Firefighter’s Fund. The event will welcome more than 100 firefighters who have been at the forefront of combating the California wildfires, to celebrate the major night in music.

“What the Los Angeles community has endured with these wildfires is unthinkable. Music has healing powers and we hope to bring a moment of joy and levity to our first-responder firefighters and those most affected by the fires,” Tyler said. “The trauma experienced by the girls we work with is also unthinkable and we will continue to shed light and support the amazing work of Janie’s Fund.”

LOL you don't believe he broke his larynx? He hit his throat on the hand rail during Rag Doll in Elmont, NY and during soundcheck in Toronto the fracture revealed itself.

That's what I've figured from what I've read.

I think he can sing for a night. He can't sing for a whole tour anymore. He still sounds good, but I doubt at his age he wants to push it. I saw opening night of the last tour and Steven was phenomenal.

The damage is not like a broken leg or arm.

The bigger aspect is age.

It's that simple.

He was a goddamn array of guns and cannons when singing. NOBODY sang like he did.

Especially live.

A line was drawn for him. It was a simple solution: stop. How many years? Done. That's enough.

It's a delicate issue, the larynx.

Some people think he needed to go back to rehab. "Oh what's THE REAL reason why they cancelled" and whatever.

THREE SHOWS into a tour????

That's beyond ridiculous for rehab. Nobody goes into rehab during a tour.

There's reality and there's memes and someone saying MS13 when it's obviously photoshopped.

There's "things" saying Keith fell out of a coconut tree or Keith believing he hit some guy with his guitar in 1981 - NOT TRUE.

100% false.

But it keeps being perpetuated.

Rumors I have heard is that Steven is having legal issues with a former underaged female he had on tour from a few years ago.

Please keep in mind, this is only a rumor.

That was last year, Steven was accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl twice in 1975. The legal issue was dismissed shortly.

Unfortunately Steven has a lot of skeletons in the closet.

The case Im referring to is a woman who claims that Steven took her on tour with him when she was 16 yrs old in the 70's.

Supposedly he paid off her parents so that he could claim guardianship and take her across state lines.

She also claims that he got her pregnant and forced her to get an abortion.

The woman is now in her 60's and is suing both Steven and her parents.

supposedly?

he brags about this in his autobiography and used the womens name in it which is what ticked her off enough to bring this lawsuit

the other woman came forward after her with her own supposed experience to support the first woman and show a pattern in his behavior towards underage girls

I have not read his biography.
There is always 2 sides to every story, thats why I said supposedly.
But yeah, sounds about right.
Sad story either way.
