I have no way to see this movie unless I purchase NetFlix. I already have U-Verse, ShowTime, HBO and ESPN or Sports suite.
Pisses me off

from the recommendations here, i watched "kill the irishman" this morning. i thought it was ok but nowhere near "the irishman". i thought it was like a tv movie with a good cast & boobs. to each his/her own.

Definitely made me feel not great about the future.
I agree , I also went to the movies to see this masterpiece and I was riveted and glued to my seat for the entirety of the film and I did not want to take a bathroom break so as I would not miss a single second and that's how good I thought it was and really kept my attention and not once did I feel bored or that the film started to drag . I knew most of this story in advance ,except for the ending and the deathbed confession and the explanation of what happened to Jimmy Hoffa , who I thought was played masterfully by the great Al Pacino .Quote

I've watched it twice in the Cinema now.
Both times I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe even more so the second time.
An absolutely epic masterpiece from Scorsese along with superb performances from the cast.
It doesn't drag or feel overly long at all. Just a great slow burner.

I took a break at 90 minutes. After that I was completely engaged for the rest. No matter how great I can't imagine sitting that long for anything.
