I have no way to see this movie unless I purchase NetFlix. I already have U-Verse, ShowTime, HBO and ESPN or Sports suite.
Pisses me off

Yeah, but the cost of Netflix for a month is still less than the cost for one person seeing this movie in a theater.

I got rid of Cable a few months ago, don't miss it. My $20 antenna works great for live tv, and I have Netflix, already had Amazon Primes, and just got a black friday deal for Hulu for $1.99/month for a year. Saving at least $100/month.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Marriage Story just started today. That is supposed to be excellent, also. On the other end of the spectrum there is a new big budget Michael Bay film coming to Netflix soon. I'm sure it will be at least entertaining.

from the recommendations here, i watched "kill the irishman" this morning. i thought it was ok but nowhere near "the irishman". i thought it was like a tv movie with a good cast & boobs. to each his/her own.

Hey crholmstrom, it’s funny your right about to each their own I felt exactly like you only in reverse order. Also your Hawks are looking really good.

Al Pacino "over the top"? It seems he invented that particular "style" once upon a time:

"You're out of order! This whole court's out of order!..."

So I save by using Firestick, Roku, Hulu, Netflix, etc..... and still pick-up the ESPN channels -

Still U-verse or Comcast are the primary internet providers for the Smart TVs?

Internet fees can be overpriced and the service savings mentioned above may be compromised.

So I've been working my way through this epic...the first hour was fairly un-engaging to me, but things REALLY pick up at the midpoint and start to become compelling.

As Hoffa's ego gets the better of him and the mafia starts viewing him as a loose cannon, the tension really starts to ratchet up and you can see the wheels turning...and yes, Stephen Graham is fantastic. I can't believe he's British.

Well, I guess I was in that 82%...I just finished it.

Wow...like I said, first half was sort of middling to me, not very engaging, but the second half was dynamite.

And the last half hour...what a punch to the gut. A depressing treatise on aging. Definitely made me feel not great about the future.

I took a break at 90 minutes. After that I was completely engaged for the rest. No matter how great I can't imagine sitting that long for anything.

I've watched it twice in the Cinema now.

Both times I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe even more so the second time.

An absolutely epic masterpiece from Scorsese along with superb performances from the cast.

It doesn't drag or feel overly long at all. Just a great slow burner.

I agree , I also went to the movies to see this masterpiece and I was riveted and glued to my seat for the entirety of the film and I did not want to take a bathroom break so as I would not miss a single second and that's how good I thought it was and really kept my attention and not once did I feel bored or that the film started to drag . I knew most of this story in advance ,except for the ending and the deathbed confession and the explanation of what happened to Jimmy Hoffa , who I thought was played masterfully by the great Al Pacino .

I saw it in September at the Film Festival here. I’ll be interested to see the comments and reviews. Don’t want to say much in fear of spoiling it, but I did not enjoy it, found it very hard to watch. Tour de force performance by Sandler though.

Wow, great article on the costumes, thanks. Rockeeeeee!

As a viewer, I saw no missteps whatsoever. Masterful.
Sandy Powell, the costumer, and De Niro collaborated closely on his many outfits.
