many many songs where keith sings and forgets he's singing! he misses a line here and a line there and then realizes"oh, I better get back to the microphone, noone is singing". It's hillarious.

""oh, I better get back to the microphone"

smile smile smile: i love that!
one good one is at Soldier Field in 97, when he chimes in on LSTNT about three bars late with an "oh yeah!" as in "oh yeah - i was supposed to be singin!" :E

there's a sort of inverse moment at Knebworth 76: Keith's real good throughout the show about being very forthrightly at the mic when he's supposed to be, but then in HTW Mick goes prancing off just before the chorus, and Keith gets this terrified look on his face, like "yikes, don't leave me singin here on my own!"
ah the Glimmer Twins and their ways to get along ...

"What do you want - what?!"
- Keith

NOt letting Ronnie contribute more on songwriting has been a major keith @#$%&-up..his ballads are great, but getting a little stale.. Ronnie's got motown in him, i've noticed that he's written the best songs in the last 15 years..without question..

Re: Best Keith fuckups

So far that is:

1969.11.09 Oakland, Coliseum Arena (2nd show): Live with me [second verse, vailable on bootleg "Live'r than they'll ever be"]
1971.03.26 London, Marquee Club: Midnight rambler [bum note, vailable on video]
1975 Happy [on bootleg "Live in the USA"]
1975.06.17 Toronto, Maple Leaf Gardens: Brown sugar
1977.03.02 Toronto: Getting busted [no recording unfortunately]
1982.06.25 London, Wembley Stadium: She's so cold [available on video]
1993.02.13 Boston, Orpheum Theater: Before they make me run [X-Pensive Winos]
1995.02.25 Johannesburg: Sympathy for the Devil [solo]
1997.09.23 Chicago, Soldier Field: Satisfaction
1999.06.11or12 London, Wembley Stadium: Gimme shelter [with Mick Jagger sayin' "Keith what you're doin'?"]
1999.06.20 Köln, Müngersdorfer Stadion: Like a rolling stone
2002.11.09 San Francisco, Pacific Bell Park: Brown sugar
2003.07.30 Toronto, Downsview Park, "SARSstock Concert": Happy [available on DVD]
2003.01.16 New York, Madison Square Garden: Shattered [started with "Satisfaction"], Satisfaction [started intro twice]
2003.08.16 Utrecht, Muziekcentrum Vredenburg: Brown sugar
2003.08.19 Amsterdam, Arena: Brown sugar
2005.09.15 East Rutherford, Giants Stadium: Brown sugar
2005.09.24 Columbus, Nationwide Arena: Brown sugar
2005.09.26 Toronto: Start me up

Honorable mentions:
- not letting Ronnie contribute more songs since 1989
- album A BIGGER BANG

PS 1: In 1997 the Stones didn't play in Landover (near Washington), Fedex Field. So he couldn't really @#$%& up "Start me up" by starting "Brown sugar". Maybe he did it on 4 October 2002?

PS 2:Could it be Keith likes to @#$%& up "Brown sugar" because it is a Mick song?

Back by popular demand . . ..

This is well and truly a train wreck. Watch Mick try to keep it on track while Bill and Charlie are amused by it all. And the audience? They very dutifully applauded! They were just glad it was over.

Add Beast of Burden at the first London O2 in 2007, couldn't tell waht he was playing.

Frankfurt 2007 during SFTD, I think Mick had the sound people shut Keith's guitar off. No idea what he was playing. Same show he also tried to climb down the stairs off the front of the stage to hand a fan a pick but security stopped him.

October 4th 2002 FedEx field Md, usa; Keith starts Tumbling Dice whereas the setlist reads Don't stop. Mick has already his guitar around his neck. In a split second Mick throw back his ax to the tech and starts singing TD without missing a beat. Mick appears justly upset at Keith, who doesn't seem to mind his @#$%&-up.
Rock and Roll,

Love the She's So Cold clip, Keith keeps playing as if nothing is wrong. But you can see him smile at the end so we knows he knows. Impressive how the rest of the band keeps following him.

More clips please, keep 'm coming >grinning smiley<

me for one,, loved that ,, that is a great version of shes so cold,,

whats the desire to having perfection at a live show,, may as well put a record on,,, and have them lip sync,,,

then again thats what all the new bands do,, so i guess its what people want now,,,

i like the raunch with my roll...

To be fair, it ain't Keith that @#$%& up here, it's Charlie. Was Charlie getting a speed rush all of a sudden or something!? He comes in way too fast and wonky!

I agree. This is a drumming issue. Charlie is trying to play jazz or something.

Please explain, what's - even in a major way - fvcked up about the crane?

Personally, I found it most cool seeing Mick come floaing directly over our heads in that crane, and doing Satisfaction, if my memory holds good. Of course, and as so often with the Stones, an innovative thang unheard of and unseen ever before in a rock concert.

Also from the LA 75 concert movie - Jumping Jack Flash.Keith tries tuning his guitar before the song - and plays half of it totally out of tune, and finally changes guitar before the last verse.

That's probably why we haven't seen anyone else do it to date. It was comedy.

Sort of like the cage that contained Mick in Out of Control during a handful of the No Security shows. That was scrapped pretty quickly.

Jagger confined to a small compartment on a crane? Jagger "locked" in a cage? Pretty funny all around.

I like "it's only satisfaction" form 2005 I think...
Nobody knew what to do and 1 half of the band played IORR and the other Satisfaction.

Connection - Oakland 2006

I think it tops everything, even Keith says: What a gunge!

Well, we all know he @#$%& up on stage all the time, but his BIGGEST SCREW-UP was writing about MIck's anatomy in LIFE! It will end up being his worst mistake ever!
