UPDATE early SEP_2018:
It seems like North America will be the next place where the Stones will be touring now...
Thanks, bv.

We all know what you get. You can complain about it or just go out and have a great night.
Regarding sellouts, Giants Stadium 05 - 70,000 and 06 - 49,000. Both are sellouts. In 06 the upper deck was tarped out on both sides from the 50yrd line to the back. What is purpose of the tarps? Why is it a sellout?

This business of calling a show "sold out" when it's clearly below capacity is nothing new. Just block off sections, or don't put them for sale, and when you only sell 80% of the venue, just say "well that 20% was never onsale anyway". I agree it's stupid, but the business seems to have worked this way since sometime in the early '00s.
There were tickets available for ALL the Zip Code shows right up until the day of the show. Most were probably not "sold out", but were close enough that nobody noticed. You can play a 50,000 seat stadium, sell 40,000 tickets, and still make it look full depending on where you put those 40,000. The Stones don't need to draw 80,000 people to Denver to have a sellout... they just need about 40-45,000 to make the stadium appear sold out.

It's hard to believe they could sell out a stadium in Los Angeles at primo prices these days. There's nothing new to sell. It's the never ending Greatest Hits tour, unless the new album has turned back time 30 years.
Los Angeles will be tough to sell out even if tickets are priced reasonably AND there's a new album that has turned the clock back 30 years - there's too many other alternatives for entertainment in L.A. for them to gouge fans too much. And no matter what the price, expect lots of discounts, price drops, selling tix via Costco, Groupon, etc. and scalpers getting stuck with inventory. But there's no way will they be as high as *Vegas '16 which were the highest priced US tickets ever maxing out at apprx. $800 for floor and all lower level - it was robbery. And even though it was an arena, they had trouble selling tix resulting in massive official price drops and scalpers desperately dumping tickets. In one sense it benefits those who are patient and/or on the fence, but why not make the tickets reasonable to begin with?

And the cheerleader squad begins their cheers in the face of uncertainty earlier and earlier each season - never fails lol.

Maybe they'll release a new album like McCartney!
And if they do, maybe they'll play one or two songs from it?!

And after that, I am sure they will be back to Europe, may be in 2022, 60 and counting.

And you and your nonstop whining complaining bitching squad continues doing what you do everyday, all day, all night... AND YOU DON'T START EARLY... YOU NEVER STOP bullying people who enjoy the band continuing your never ending whining, complaining, bitching, nit picking about everything Rolling Stones...

Oh I do hope note. There has to come a point where enough is enough. They should pack it before they embarrass themselves. The idea of the Stones in their 80s (or very close to them) playing massive stadium shows seems like a step too far. Please let them retire with the minimum of fanfare before they reach that point

I think they'll know when to stop. But based on recent performances, that time's yet to arrive.

Just gobsmacking. Unthinkable, but then ........ ?
