Well, they don't tour in a bus or a van. In fact, all they do is show up to fly, limo/SUV, sit around, do a show, hotel.
And not very often.

I never knew he had his own band!
That was actually pretty good in an odd way - kind of a contemporary country/rock/funk jam (who knew there was such a thing?), and that slide guitar throughout was HOT!
I liked it better than Getta Grip and England Lost!!! Go Karl!

Also they only do an average of 15 shows per tour, with an average of playing about two show's per week while on tour. That is a lot of hanging around in Hotel rooms.
At their age it's a bit sad to take up their final years in this way.
Especially as they offer nothing new, just the same show over and over.
And yet i can't wait to see them in Paris. Have we all been brainwashed by the music lol.
I'm in my car and i play 2013 Hide Park over and over, like i can't get enough of it, i can't get enough of Rambler or keith and Ronnie dualing at the end of GS.
Same with JJF , it still puts shivers up my spine. Why

One of the guys who apparently showed up outside the rehearsals yesterday and were talking to someone from Stones camp. Could be BS though.

You say it's sad to spend their days doing this at their age.
Anyone with any passion for life and desire to see the world would give their right arm to live that life and to still be doing it at the age the Stones are is nothing short of incredible.

I see what you are saying, but you miss the point i made.
The reality of these tours for the Stones themselves is playing two shows a week , then spending the rest of the week held up in a hotel or travelling.
That's the sad part. Because of their fame they have strict security while on tour, they are restricted mostly to their hotel rooms.
I could understand that sort of sacrifice at their ages if they offered something new or different, like a new album to promote, but instead they have opted for another 15 shows of Warhorses.
Hope i'm wrong though, hope they got a few treats for us, but i'm not holding my breath.
Yeah i think its sad to keep repeating the same show, whats passionate about artists repeating themselves. Its not creative to repeat the same thing, its baffling.
