Looks like there may a part two in 2018, mainly UK with Ireland and some more gigs on the continent.

?

I'm going to bite the bullet for a Paris gig. Very disappointed no UK shows and hardly any Saturday dates.

Well, the key word was "may". I have no insider information, but I don't think 2013 was the last gig in their home country. And a four or five gig tour leg is possible, but very unlikely.

I went to Lucca a few years ago for a Sigur Rós concert, but it was in the center of the city, Piazza Napoleone where there is a festival every year. Not sure about where is exactly "mura storiche" but it's a small city.
It's the reason why I am surprised for this choice for the Rolling Stones. Probably the most charming place to see them on this tour. Lucca is a very very beautiful city.

So is the rumour that this will be the last ever tour and they will wrap it all up in London in summer 2018?

I'm looking at the Saturday night there and the opening night in Hamburg which is also a Saturday.

I am so hyped for the tour but at the same time I am really afraid of not getting good tickets. In 2014 I wanted to buy tickets for Berlin but couldn't reach the server at the sale time and an hour later all good tickets were gone.

Any recommendations what I can do to get the tickets I want? hot smiley

I'm keen on Hamburg as I love opening nights of tours. I was at the Hamburg gig on the Licks tour in 2003. I fear there will be a huge scramble for tickets for that one. It's in a park this time so likely to be a huge crowd and slightly cheaper tickets.

Sorry from the States. Thanks for the quick post responses so far!! Are street signs in English as well? My fear is not being able to find my way around. One particular European country, which shall remain nameless, has virtually nothing in English and I've no desire to ever return due to the horrible experience I had there years ago. And this time I'd be coming alone so I'd only have my wits to rely on, which aren't many!!! smoking smiley

English is as much a 'foreign' language as any other one, VL13.

I assume you're either from the UK or USA?

If Beaver was answering you, I'd add Germany as well. Very highly educated; very good standards of English.

In the body of this article you can see a facebook post by the Lucca Promoters that shows exactly the setting for the Stones concert in Lucca.

It will not take place in the Piazza Napoleone in the centre of the city but outside the medieval walls. It is a larger space than the Piazza Napoleone but still a relatively small venue for the Stones' standard.

General tickets on sale saturday, presale thursday.
