A good old friend of mine told me the same last weekend: the rumor at Universal is that the album is ready and it will be released at the end of October/early November, the group (Mick/Keith/Ronnie) is going to promote it with interviews, TV appearances and music videos, there are no shows planned.

The annual activity of 3 months of touring will be album promotion this year.

As hard as it is to believe this album will be released in 2023 after so many years of tinkering away, I would like to think this is great news!

Very positive and best of all, it's totally logical. It's clear by now the album is done, so strutting their stuff on the late night shows, SNL etc. in late fall to pump up the Christmas sales makes sense.

Just a guess, if the album is set to be released around that time, a new tour announcement could coincide with the release, just as more bands have done it before. For example, on November 5, 2015 the Olé Tour was announced and then it started on February 3, 2016

Well, it's just as random as the info about the release of El Mocambo and many other relevant infos that came from them.

With a new record in 2023 but no tour they could do the US talk shows in regard to a live performance and whatever there is likewise in the UK/Europe.

They don't need to worry about the money aspect of it.

The reality is we're seeing the possibly the last bastion of rock'n'roll in this post yet modern way of doing things: the Stones are on the cusp again yet on the edge of falling off - because they're 80 basically.

A couple more years people might stop taking them seriously (as in pay the ticket prices). All the crap about them being in their 30s and being too old...

Sounds good ! It also means they (and UMG) feel confident enough in the album to promote it as a standalone "product" without just having it as an "excuse" for another tour, like it was too often the case since 1989.

I'm not as worried about getting an album in the fall, as I am about no new product until then. There's been no noise or whispers about a vault release. If there is going to be some kind of summer release, we should hear about it soon.

The first info from Grrr Live! was posted on November 12, 2022, [iorr.org] then it was officialy announced on November 30, 2022 and released on February 10, 2023 so i guess that there is still time for a vault release. Maybe we can expect an announcement on May/June or July at the latest
