It's private, not a club gig. Not in L.A.

Brian was the Stone Number One very early on and signed all contracts.
Yeah, but in June 1962 there was no Rollin' Stones yet. That's what I meant.

There wasn't? There was a group of musicians readying themselves to play gigs. Note it doesn't show the name of the band on the contract.
This may have been something that was booked, but fell through or the actual date of the gig was for later. Or it took place and everyone forgot about it till now.
Gotta love how a simple piece of paper can kick of such speculation.

Were they The Rollin' Stones already and this was a false start on their way to The Marquee Club that didn't happen?

Rehearsals are done in Burbank. Private show tonight. You'll find out.
Wishful thinking on Brian's part once it became clear that Mick Avory wasn't going to play the gig.Quote

So if it's not Brian's signature and it is The old Crescendo Club on the Sunst Strip, who is the artist? June 1962 Ella Fitzgerald and Red Foxx were playing there. It isn't Lenny Bruce's signature or else Marvin Worth would have co-signed as manager. It's not Mort Sahl. I'm at a loss. Looking forward to hearing about the surprise club show.

Now that's a shocker to me, Teddy. I thought your Dad was Lenny's manager to the end because he produced the play and movie of his life. I knew of him because of his association with Arne Sultan and (by extension only) William Peter Blatty. He wrote a lot of funny material and had good taste as a producer. However, since this kinda blows your cover, I'm fine with deleting this post if you want to remain anonymous.

Indeed. It's a complete red herring and nothing to do with the Stones!
