GO ATLANTA FALCONS!

Rise UP!!!

Today, Seattle.

Tomorrow...

THE WORLD!!!!

(You heard it here first....)

What is the rise up thing? That is so lame. Rise up to... what? Lose another Super Bowl game? Beating Seattle wasn't exactly a challenge. Cantlanta is good, no doubt, but they will be dealt with.

Have fun rooting for Green Bay. We'll talk more on Sunday after the Birds take e'm down.

As I said......we'll talk more on Sunday!!!

Congrats to the Green Bay Packers, a class act organization.

However.....

"Cantlanta?"

NO..

ATLANTA.

Home of the NFC CHAMPION FALCONS!!!

"Rise up?"

YES. ABSOLUTELY.

RISE UP, ATLANTA!!!!

Rise up to get beat by New England.

Yeah yeah yeah - they'll still be Cantlanta after February 5th.

Hell of an ass whoopin' on the Packers though. Damn. The game was over by the second quarter!

We'll see. To be honest, if I was a betting man, it would be hard to beat the logic of the Pats winning it. Veteran team that has "been there, done that," and so on. I do worry that the Falcons will get caught up in all the hoopla and media distractions of the week (which is what killed them the one other time they made it to the Big Dance).

But, this team is probably the best Falcons team ever. Guess we'll find out in less that two weeks if that will be enough, right? For now, though, this city is pretty psyched up!

Cheers....

There is no way to tell, of course. Will they fall apart under the pressure? Will NE play even better? Or will Atlanta blow them out?

Remember how good Denver was back in the 1980s. They lost those 3 Super Bowls. The 16-0 Patriots... lost the Super Bowl.

Carolina...

It was actually 18 and 0 counting the 2 playoff games getting to the SB. I still cannot watch the helmet catch without getting physically ill.

Yes I know but the only things remembered are the regular season and... the final record, which in that case, equals Chicago and San Francisco with the exception that Chicago and San Francisco won the Super Bowl with their 18-1 records.

And only the New England Patriots have finished 16-0. Only 2 other teams have ever gone undefeated in the regular season - Miami 14-0 and Chicago 13-0 and 11-0.

The only other teams to have the 18-1 Super Bowl winning equivalent are the 1962 Green Bay Packers (pre-Super Bowl, 14-1) and the 1976 Oakland Raiders (16-1).

Clearly Atlanta Falcons will be the underdog. I cannot see Pats losing this one (as they seek validation of their greatness).

I'm a liberal Patriots fan, and all of their fawning over President Dirtbag has definitely tested the limits of my fandom. It sickens me to the point that I wouldn't be TOO upset if the Falcons won.

That may be likely true, but whoever loses is probably going to be the loser.

Politics never crossed my mind in my 50 years of watching football. "A liberal Patriots fan", what does that mean when you are in Foxboro or watching the game at The Beantown Pub or at home? Relax Mr. Liberal Patriots fan.

F Bill Maher BTW.....

Just saw the first two periods.
Absolutely boring, big time - both the game and Gaga.
Too many breaks, too many promotions and too much show-off.
