There are rumours about a Stones show at Camp Neu Barcelona Spain next summer.
Camp Neu is the largest stadium in Europe with a capacity of 99,000 people for football.
[en.wikipedia.org]
It is all up for bids, but it is time for Barcelona now, after Santiago Bernabeu Madrid the last time around...

Camp Nou would be a fantastic venue for The Stones.
Hopefully some of the great football stadia in the UK will follow.
Wembley, of course, but it would be great to see them at Old Trafford as well.

I think I see the pattern of the 2017 tour in Europe. The biggest stadiums. The largest crowds. I just love it. Lisbon 2014 was great. Same with Rome. Same with Santiago Bernabeu Madrid 2014. It is all up for bids. They will pick the best parts.
There are bids for 2017 from Serbia, Croatia, Poland, Spain (Barcelona), Austria, Norway, and a few more places I am told. It will be a great tour. They just need to finish their next studio album first.

I can't see why they would play outside London in the U.K....

London is in a league of its own when it comes to cities in the U.K.
People can fly to London from anywhere in the U.K. in an hour
No need for the Stones to go up north

Too bad , its mostly large crowds and stadiums. Dont hope they choose for Amsterdam arena or Pinkpop festival. In that case, i will go to the UK and Barcelona.

Hey Jeroen!
What are you talking about? It's gonna be three times Ziggo Dome at least next year.
The Arena will be used as a giant toilet for the Ziggo Dome crowd.

Seems like they wanna make the same money with ca. 12 shows as they made in 1998 with 3,5 as much shows. What a band...

Less than 50.000 in Paris in 2007 for a capacity of 78.500...
Was there.
Well, they had played a sold out crowd at the same venue just the year before.
And the stadium was absolutely crammed in 2014.
(Was there - 2003,2006,2007,2014)
I was there 1998, 2007 and 2014. I travelled to Paris in 2014 without a ticket and got one by pure chance from a Mexican girl who recognised me from the early queue in Oslo 18 days before. We were on the London Paris coach and her friend in Psris had a spare in GA Gold which I bought from her the next day at face value. If thst hadn't happened aI would have struggled as I saw no touts on the day so I think it was a true sellout. 1998 was a big crowd but not sold out. I had a nosebleed seat but was allowed to walk into the pitch unchallenged and got a good spot.
Paris has always been a favourite venue for the Stones and I can't see them skipping it.

Nate, so disappointed with that remark, I agree London is special to go and see the stones, but I would love them to come to Birmingham or even the Midlands, Manchester would also be good.

So ........ here's the deal !
We all know they're going to do some shows in UK and Europe in 2017
We're ahead of them, because (a) not even they know that they'll be doing this, and (b) in addition, not even the bloke that says 'Ladies n' Gentlemen, will you welcome to the stage please .... the ROLLING STONES'![]()
![]()
does either !
So I feel it's absolutely necessary that we take matters into our own hands and throw them some suggested names for this particular outing, because they obviously can't be trusted to come up with something halfway decent themselves. I mean wtf ..... ZIPCODE for example ! Who the hell dreamt that one up ? The f***ing postman ? Absurd !
I'll get the ball rolling .......
Retrospective
Full Circle
55 And Counting
Still Rolling
Rhythm And Blues
And so on ......
Suggestions welcome ....... the sensible, the stupid, the arcane, they're bound to choose one of them, because we all know they read IORR !!

Apparently there will be 8 to 10 shows on this European tour therefore the U.K. would likely get 1 maybe 2 shows.I think they will probably play Wembley stadium and if there is a second show then maybe it would be Knebworth.
People can not expect that if there is only 1 or 2 shows in the U.K. then they could be anywhere other than London.

Typical Londoncentric attitude!
There is life outside of the capital city and most other Acts recognise this.
It would be like saying they need only perform in Paris (for France), Madrid (for Spain), NYC for the Eastern seaboard or Sydney(for Australia)

Wembley Stadium is one of the worst venues for live music in the world (no exageration intended) - from getting to the stadium (awful), the sound (awful), the atmosphere (bad enough for football matches let alone a live gig) the view from certain locations in the stadium, getting away from the stadium after the gig, empty corporate seats...they don't need to tick this venue off - just go elsewhere in London (or the nearby vicinity) if they have to. Plenty of other stadiums, stately houses and parks that can do a better job.
Of course...that's if they play the UK this time around...
