Don't forget that recent (ridiculous) article from Chicago's own Tribune:
oh! Which I can no longer send a link to cause now I am in England I can't access the page...
(Summary - BS is racist and sexist and should be banned)
(google 'Chicago Tribune Brown Sugar Racist' and you'll find it)
That article is the reason they SHOULD play it.

I have slightly revised Stoneage’s setlist prediction based on my thoughts/comments on this thread ...
1. Street Fighting Man
2. Let's Spend The Night Together (IORR - alternative)
3. Tumbling Dice
4. Sad Sad Sad (Harlem Shuffle - alternative)
5. Ride Em' Down
6. Out of Control (song vote)
7. You Can't Always Get...
8. Play With Fire (b-stage)(Angie - Alternative)
9. Sweet Virginia (b-stage)(Dead Flowers - Alternative)
10. Sympathy For The Devil
11. Honky Tonk Women
12. You Got The Silver (Slipping Away - alternative)
13. Before They Make me Run (Happy - alternative)
14. Miss You
15. Paint It Black
16. Midnight Rambler
17. Start me Up
18. JJ Flash
19. Brown Sugar(???)
20. Gimme Shelter
21. Satisfaction
*IORR could be placed inbetween songs 4-6 if they are pushing the setlist length for opening night
** Brown Sugar may not be performed?
*** Alternatives could be used for Chicago 2
I think that Sad Sad Sad is a great song live but does it even matter? The Rolling Stones are touring and today's opening nightQuote

Please DO NOT play Sad Sad Sad. Not even close to being a classic RS song.
I can think of 100 songs to replace that one with.

OK,we’re gonna have what I call one of Lem’s teachable moments.
Today We’re gonna learn about “The Formula”.
Our subjects will be The Kardashian’s and News Media and we’re gonna apply the formula to each of them.
The first ingredient in the formula is conflict so for the Kardashian’s we have two of the girls fighting with each other, one of the girls fighting with someone else,a business crisis or some other problem to draw your interest.
And then (and this is where you come in) we go to a commercial break)and dollars are made.
For our next test group we have the news media, they are the Kardashian’s x 1000.
Remember our first ingredient, conflict.they ramp it up to the extreme.oh my god the future of the planet is at stake, war is gonna break out, race problems are at a hair trigger, plague and pestilence waiting to be unleashed...and we break for a commercial.and dollars are made.
It’s all bullshit and theater,The Rolling Stones have been in the game for half a century and they know this,if someone uses their name the formula applies, conflict, interest = dollars.
This is a very complicated way of telling you there is No Mthrfckng way they drop Brown Sugar from the set.it will never happen,I am 1000% sure ,I promise you.if they don’t play Brown Sugar tomorrow night everything I say is crap and I will never post on this sight again.
don't quit if they don't play it. i agree with you though. we live in very strange times. pt barnum would've done well nowadays.

They didn't play anything from "Blue and Lonesome" which, considering they were in Chicago, is almost unbelievable.

It's a fine song, but not worthy of inclusion in the setlists at this point.Quote

there´s absolutely nothing cheesy about Sad Sad Sad. A great song, as good as any rocker from, say, Exile. The only 80s thing about Sad Sad Sad is the fact that it was recorded in the 80s. But it doesn´t sound like 80s at all, not at all. I am delighted that they played it yesterday and I hope it remains in the setlist (btw I didn´t found any of the "surprise songs" Keith promised, they continued where the stopped last year... although not really surprising).

Given the finite amount of shows they have left in them, they should be playing rarities from the '60s and '70s.
