They didn't play anything from "Blue and Lonesome" which, considering they were in Chicago, is almost unbelievable.

That's the "in case of rain " setlist ...
there´s absolutely nothing cheesy about Sad Sad Sad. A great song, as good as any rocker from, say, Exile. The only 80s thing about Sad Sad Sad is the fact that it was recorded in the 80s. But it doesn´t sound like 80s at all, not at all. I am delighted that they played it yesterday and I hope it remains in the setlist (btw I didn´t found any of the "surprise songs" Keith promised, they continued where the stopped last year... although not really surprising).
Given the finite amount of shows they have left in them, they should be playing rarities from the '60s and '70s.
...and turn into a 100% nostalgia act?

Anything that breaks the monotony is good. And I don't understand how fans here who aren't able to pick out one bad Stones album still don't want them to play any song past 1981.

For the record, I think the biggest crowd reaction was...HTW. I felt like the last show I went to thr biggest crowd reaction was Satisfaction so perhaps there is a reason they play what the play.

You got pretty close with your setlist prediction, GJB. Well done. The list is pretty much "set" from song 9 and on. A warhorse bonanza. Some love it, I don't. The interesting part will be song 2-8.

McLaurens: They played LSTNT on IORR:s spot. That was reported in the rehearsals thread. Maybe they will throw in IORR before the tour is over though. Most probably.
HMS: I'm somewhat with you there. An acoustic (semi-) set in a stadium doesn't really work. Dead Flowers was lame. The crowd seemed to like Angie though (it's a favorite for many, a big hit back then).
Keep Angie in the ordinary set and scrap the b-stage I would say...
