For $20, I'm quite satisfied with this set. Not perfect sound by any means but it passed the "cardio test", motivating me through my Bose athletic headphones on a 6 mile run.

I always enjoy the Roshomon perspectives on these things.

Where is Nicky's piano? It sounds more audible in the traditional Leeds...

Actually, on further listen to the samples, it's starting to grow on me - especially JJF, which is very 1969, very Ya-Yas

We told you it was the best gig of the tour!

So listened a couple of times to the entire release….

What a frigging great show the Roundhouse is! Stray Cat and Rambler are out of this world! Rambler has the best intro ever, fantastic. Yep it’s all a bit ramshackle, out of tune and sometimes so loose it’s on the border of breaking down, but man what a frigging great show! We know from the audience tape it was a hot show, and to have parts now in this quality is fantastic.

Leeds now also sounds like a much better show than how it came across on the bootleg. It’s much more raw and in your face now. Sound is quite boomy in places, vocals loud and clear. Especially when the brass and piano comes in the mono sound makes it all quite cluttered, but it’s very enjoyable nonetheless. For some strange reason the compilation by Kevin sounded quite worse than this actual release.

The recording has such a narrow spectrum that it’s almost a mono recording with the drums overhead in stereo, the brass are panned just left of middle, guitars are mono, with the drums loud and clear but very compressed. Charlie’s snare has never ever sounded like this in reality. It’s way too modern and brick-walled.

But frigging great they finally released it, with the Roundhouse as a great bonus!

Agreed. This sounds much better than the sampler.

I'm enjoying this. I had forgot about the cool piano intro to Live With Me - excellent!

But even in great quality there is something about the sound of the 1971 that bothers me a bit. Still, this is fantastic release. SCB from Roundhouse is fast and furious, and with a much more aggressive intro.

Oooh, yes "Charlie .. " was a great release, too.

The sampler I shared is created from google play audio samples. They are worse quality than the actual release.

That explains it!

After seeing this post I just went to google play and it does seem that it's no longer available. Only the original version of Sticky Fingers appears when the search results come back. Glad I got it while I could afford it!

Don't get me started about all the things I nowadays miss in detail... The bass is, of course, one of them. It's now just fattening the sound, without adding much to it.

Yup, looks like it is no longer available. I feel lucky I persevered the other night and managed to download it all. It was either a mistake, or a weird pre-sale experiment on the part of marketers maybe? Strange.
