Ugh, this is agony. And the weirdest thing to me is the lack of posts from bv... True they didn't say WHICH Thursday but I got plans to be made and want to make em on THIS Thursday!

Just trying to figure out what we know so far:

1) They put all these billboards up in rumored show cities (some saying Wednesday, some Thursday(?)) and some (all?) have been taken down already. Of course it makes sense that they would only lease the ads until the proposed tour announcement.

2) Mick and Keith were in NYC yesterday.

3) The official word is that there are ticketing issues.

Did I miss anything?

I think I saw it discussed in this thread, but the save-face for screwing up the tour announcement kissaway website contest thing seems like a nice thing to enter for a free trip, but forget introducing the Rolling Stones. Nowhere does it say that. They will tape you and possibly use it for some promotional purpose. But not that.

Sam Cutler was at a show on the last leg and they didn't even invite him to do it!

They won't go on sale upon tour announcement (I don't recall that happening) they usually announce tour and when they will go on sale. On sale dates are staggered.

Well, it happened for the Bigger Bang Tour in 2005. The press conference at Julliard School, NYC, wasn't even over when tixs went on sale (at least for the Boston shows as far as i remember).

Hmm, I'm in Boston and went to both Fenway shows- ended up getting onstage tix for $75/. Maybe I'm wrong. I think I had the fanclub code for the 1st fenway show and there were separate sales dates. Or was that for the licks tour only?

I don't remember exactly how much shows wen't on sale at the same time (it was eight years ago...) maybe only the first Boston, but i'm 100% sure the sales, or pre sales probably, started during the conference. I was watching it on internet from France and a friend of mine was at Julliard School. I had to phone her in a hurry, and tell her to run back home.

Deals can fall apart last minute. I hope this delay is not over a logger jam with AEG. That would mean starting over else where if at all. New dates, locations...

Listen.. It's against the rules to pretend you are Mick or pretend you are in touch with any of them. This is critical news for many people that have already invested time and money into the tour. From time to time I am guilty of every infraction but just for now let's not give BV a whole mess to clean when he wakes up tomorrow morning. The insurance issue is easy. One leg each time, not announce next tour, 2 shows a week. Not hard to figure out.

This has become quite the debacle....not the best way to start a new tour for the multitude of loyal fans,
not to mention trying to persuade casual concert goers to fork over their hard-earned cash.

The above thread is actually the 2nd 2015 tour thread, and if I did open a new one now, it would be 10 pages long by tomorrow.

Rule number four:
Patience. They are running late. Someone is sweating and working hard. No use of blaming anyone. They are not happy with the delay, but we will get the confirmation soon. I wish I had an e-mail service to alert all IORR members, I probably do, but I need to look into it. Meanwhile, just visit IORR on a regular basis, following the above three links.
