At the World Cup 2010 I was in Paris for the ACDC concert at Stade de France. The day after we went to the Eiffel Tower and opposite there was the FIFA Fan Fest at the Trocadero / Palais de Chaillot with big screens and a lot of footballfans. Just don't know if this will be the same at this WC? Otherwise there will be plenty of places with TV ....

Easy entry at the Sunderland "A Love Supreme" (ALS) forums: [www.readytogo.net] . I might do this one since it is relatively easy and probably one faces a lot of competition. You just have to enter into the forum.

I will definitely look at the ESPN game though later.

For whatever it's worth, Deep Purple has been discussed at that Sunderland forum, they say "oh, they are big fans of the club". I don't know about that. Their drummer Don Airy was born there it seems: [deeppurple-nowwhat.com] Looks like their guitarist currently is from Ohio. They are an okay band. I think some of their more obscure work betters their popular stuff except Hush (Joe South written) is a great tune, always have enjoyed that one.

Congratulations to Real Madrid. I thought Athletico were going to get it as they played out of their skins this season but that's the way it goes in football sometimes. They deserved it until the equaliser and then Madrid went up a gear.

Too bad for Atletico. 5 minutes extra time was too much (3 at most). Besides Atletico couldn't keep their heads together. Unbelievable how top players make amateurish mistakes in static situations. That penalty at the end was totally unnecessary and made the match end in an unworthy way. Overall disappointing.

Indeed a sad low point. As if he made the decisive goal instead of having played as an anonymous.
