It seems the first "episode" of the three part documentary "Get Back" will be available to stream in the U.S. at 12 midnight Pacific Time tomorrow morning. I'm not sure about countries outside the USA.

Should be the same: available to stream from 0:00 / 12:00am / Midnight local timezone of your country - like with new Albums or Videos on Spotify or YouTube.

Well, as of about 07:30 local time here in Australia there was no sign of it.

Edit: 08:00 no sign.
Edit: 10:00 no sign.

Bummer. Thanks for letting us know.

Pedantically then that would still be 25th Nov here, but they're stretching a point.

More likely, IMHO, is that the drones at Disney are hugely geographically challenged and didn't realise that there are people in the world in timezones that are far advanced than any on the North America land mass.

Edit: Regardless of Disney's approach, there is a Beatles precedent for a simultaneous global release. When "Free As A Bird" was released it was done at the same moment globally.

Disney+ updates daily at the following times:

Pacific Time: 00:00 AM / Midnight

It seems that Disney used 00:00am Californian Time as starting point for the release (like Facebook & Twitter have/had as time-base) - so release 0:00am in LA, 9:00am Central Europe and 19:00 in Sydney (Australia).

Part 2 was available on 26-Nov-2021 shortly before 9:00am in Germany, same with Part 3 on 27-Nov-2021.

I've watched Part 1 (157 mins) now and it's more or less The Beatles sitting in a circle in the Twickenham Film Studios and presenting / rehearsing the song-ideas of the Let It Be as well as partly Abbey Road albums.

Interesting for those who like listen to the numerous Takes 1-xx of a Beatles song ....

Any word on the blu ray release of Let It Be?

They should make an 2 hrs version of the 3 parts and release it in Cinema and on DVD/BR. The 7+ hrs version could be a bit too boring for the general audience.

I just finished watching Part One. It's very good. It's like being a fly on the wall. If you've seen Let It Be, you basically know what to expect. There's some framing devices, but otherwise it's similar.

Songwriting is not really a cinematic subject, so I don't know if kids would really be into it, unless they are aspiring songwriters. It was fascinating to watch "Get Back" being written from the very beginning. Paul is just improvising on the bass, and it just begins to come out. Very cool to watch and hear.

A Get Back review by [www.Uncut.co.uk] :

"Lennon is glassy-eyed and recessive. George, self-evidently feels undervalued. Ringo is generally smoking, or asleep. Paul, meanwhile, is simply on fire." - that's how it looks in Part 1.

This is my porn. I love when they get into the songwriting and studio trickery on documentaries. I think I’ll wait till all 3 episodes are out before I start watching. I never watched Let it Be, the only footage I’ve seen from Twickenham was on the Anthology series 25 years ago.

For a very mild beatles fan, I am very excited about this.

Just finished watching part one .....it was very very enjoyable.....funny quote by Ringo when George left the studio when someone say's what we gonna do Ringo: just let split George instruments drinking smiley

There are not many things that changed my mind about there personalities........two episodes to go...

As for George frustration I really don't know the fuss...........If some write a song he is the one that knows how it must sound........ and not the guitar player.

And I don't mind if one of the wife's pops in to join the rehearsals.....but Yoko all around from start to finish is to much for me.

This is exactly the same impression I got from watching the original Let It Be film back in the 1970s. Although they were still diplomatically being careful to put equal numbers of John songs and Paul songs on their records, Paul McCartney, for all practical purposes, was 70% of the Beatles by 1969.

As [Variety.com] wrote in his 'Get Back' review: "Its first episode is actually much darker than 'Let It Be'.”

Part 2 (174 mins) is more positive. It shows the Beatles (George rejoined the group) discussing, rehearsing & recording in the basement studio of their Apple office at 3 Savile Row: "What a drag it is .... getting an album ready." winking smiley

Part 3 (139 mins) is much more positive. It continues with the basement-studio work of the 2nd part and shows the rooftop-performance (Pos. 1h:22m-2h:06m) in split-screen, interrupted by the policemen-scenes and spectators on the street.

I hope they will streamline the video to include the rooftop concert between 1 hour 30 minutes or 2 hours and give it an official release. Think that would be smashing.

Until Covid happened that's pretty much what the plan was. They were going to have a re-made version of the original film, then as bonus there would be the original film, AND the full/complete rooftop show.

I'd have been happy with that.

John was also asked by Lindsay-Hogg to do the introduction to the Stones for use in The RnR Circus - which had been filmed a few weeks prior. John says stuff about script and then does an arm waving run through.

Lindsay-Hogg was a busy man at that time!

Shame they didn't do the Brighton thing....

I just finished watching Part Two. I enjoy the film, but I can understand why it wouldn't be for everyone. There is a lot of repetition, as songs are being written and rehearsed. There's also a lot of goofing around as they play old songs and covers, often in an irreverent way. That's enjoyable if you think of it as less of a formal performance as more like just hanging out with friends. The loose version of "Love Me Do" over the end credits is pretty cool.

There's a cool sequence where a hidden microphone captures an off the record conversation between Lennon and McCartney as they discuss what to do about Harrison's departure. That was fascinating.

Once the Harrison issue is ironed out, there's not a lot of drama in this episode. Moving to a different studio changed things tremendously for their vibe. Well, there is one disturbing sequence as McCartney shouts out a newspaper article critical of the Beatles as Lennon tries to drown him out with a song and the other two looking like they're in pain. Other than that, the atmosphere is positive.

Lennon comes off as much more involved in Part Two. I'm not a big fan of John Lennon, but after this episode I had some renewed appreciation for his guitar playing and singing ability. His constant need to be "on" like a comedian gets a little tedious imho.

Of course, Billy Preston adds a ton to their sound. I was surprised that apparently they didn't interview him at the time. He just basically sits back quietly and does his thing. I would have been interested to hear what he was thinking.

Astonishing that the entire rooftop show hasn't had an official release. And we're bitching about no El Mocambo on CD.

Too much repetition in the setlist. They played "Get Back" three times. "Don't Let Me Down" and "I've Got a Feeling" were each played twice. That's because it really wasn't a concert at all. More like a recording session that took place outdoors.

Get Back
Get Back
Don't Let Me Down
I've Got a Feeling
One After 909
Dig a Pony
I've Got a Feeling
Don't Let Me Down
Get Back

Surely due to RS' Rock & Roll Circus which took place December 11–12, 1968 while Let It Be was filmed January 2-31, 1969. Both films were directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg.

I finished Part 3 just now. I think there's too much repetition in the music overall. We hear these songs many times as they are being written and then rehearsed. Often we get to see the Beatles go into the control room and listen to the playback. By the end of the movie it was hard for me to really get into the music because it felt like I had just heard these songs a dozen times.

The film is well made and the footage is historic. Certainly there's value and enjoyment in being a fly on the wall as the Beatles write and record. But there's so much repetition that it ends up working against the film.

Regarding your sentiments, I remember posting this article from Variety back in June when the powers that be decided that Get Back would no longer be a movie — but that it would be a six-hour mini-series:

‘The Beatles: Get Back’ Is Now a Six-Hour Mini-Series. So Why Does It Feel Like More Might Be Less? (Column)

Now all of that would be a cool listen ......

I always wondered how that was even possible especially with regards to the pretty generic stuff that they ended up talking about in the movie. Maybe it was a bit of a monkeys hammering away at the typewriters situation
