Be careful getting the discs out of the package, y'all, I nearly had to resort to a knife to extract the blu-ray.

Got mine this morning after postman knocked on the door at 6:50am

Surprised at how big the book was tbh, but it looks fantastic.

Yeah, the discs look to b pretty snug in the book.

I'm going to have to give it a good talking to, because it's also not as clean as it should be--keeps stopping so that I have to take it out of the player and clean it. (I assume that's the problem--it's the only blu ray I've got, so I don't know how they behave!) However, when it IS playing, it's terrific! I've only watched half so far, and so great to see Street Fighting Man, which we didn't get on the 6th.


Btw about a third of the pictures in the book, which is very nicely-produced, are from 1969.

Agreed. Just finished watching. Blu-ray looks and sounds great. The pics in the book complete a nice package.

"product not yet shipped...will send me periodic updates as to when they do ship. I can cancel if I like."

I'm paraphrasing from the online translator. I suspect selling it for 19 euros was a mistake and they're going to try and wait me out.

I'm in it for the long haul...poor showing on their part. I ordered this in September so there shouldn't be any issues.

Same here! I almost destroyed the LP set, trying to get disc 1 out

It's a beautiful set, but what's with the cheap-looking discs/labels?? It's looks like a Word Perfect graphic tongue stamped on a note book sheet...

I watched the DVD again last night, selected tracks; it has wonderful replay value - just a great show to watch and enjoy

I would love to have all the tracks of course, 'Tunbling Dice' being on the Japanese version, but as it's a toss up between having 'Emotional Rescue' (on the Euro version) or 'Dice', I'd have gone for 'Emotional Rescue' anyway - it's a pretty grooving version!

'Paint it Black' and 'Before the Make Me Run' I think are excellent also as Bonus'; great atmosphere conjured up during PIB and the version of BTMMR is rocking!

Was hoping to see the different versions in record store, but looks like its going to be down to Amazon.

I watched the DVD last night, (but not the extras), and enjoyed it a lot. It builds up nicely and from Rambler onwards must be the best Stones film in years. I think they called it right picking Hyde Park over Glastonbury as it's such a great setting visually even if the music wasn't quite as good. The DVD is worth the money for Midnight Rambler alone imo. Very nice to hear the kind words spoken about Mick Taylor which make it sound like he's back for good. Hope that's true and that they use him a bit more next time round too.

I liked that scene of him walking to the stage with a willowy blonde, who on closer inspection turned out to be Keith's daughter--certainly makes him look like he's back in the gang.
