Jagger knows what is up and how to sell this "thing" better than anyone... and after last night, I bet the ticket sales will pick up nicely, with East Coast Taylor fans hoping for more, while leaving West Coast Taylor fans jonesing for more due to missing "IT" last night (and they will probably head East to get the needed fix)... although..... I wouldnt be surprised if Mr Jagger has some more messing around and around to do, he will probably keep em/us guessing... and good for him... what fun would it be to know the future?

Max, so does that mean start really weak, and incrementally work harder until everyone is happy. Not trying to attack you here, but that is what the plan unfolded........I think they underestimated the overall taste and knowledge of the base. Anyone who was critical up until now, were getting killed on here, but now it looks like we just wanted an honest effort. Looks like a good ratio of Taylor songs........NO special guests, and an adventurous setlist.....finally. Now, if we could rotate a Taylor solo into Sympathy, they could save a warhorse.

Reading through this thread it looks like one hell of a show on paper.
Really curious to check out the video for the first time in a while.
Full props to the Stones for leaving their comfort zone with the setlist.
Gotta say, I can't see the supposed Ronnie bashing on here that some do, after all, Ronnie's the one that seems to most genuinely believe in the Stones and I think everyone gets that. That being said, this kinda makes the debut of Emotional Rescue yesterday's papers. But hey, emotions are running high I guess: All Down The Line, Sway and Can't You Hear Me Knocking in the same set will do that.
I'm looking forward to a nice, balanced review of the show... Did Dean Goodman make it in?

Boy that's a tricky one... The mix seems a little off in that corner of the building so it's hard to get a good read on it. It does seem like a cool, bluesy version though. Not menacing or incendiary or rocking but cool & bluesy. To use a common phrase lately-- slightly slower pace---but on a blues that seems to be allright.
